Your friends, and their stupid movie opinions.

I hate all of your friends lol I grew up in the hood and a lot of my childhood friends think that Friday, Baby Boy, or your choice of Tyler Perry movies are the greatest movies ever....That is why we are reduced to just being facebook friends.

I don't really have any friends with questionable movie opinions, in fact we tend to like a lot of the same movies. Not always, but none of them have opinions that rub me as odd.

My old high school wrestling teammates probably thought I was that guy because they loved Next Friday and I told them while the original was great, the sequel sucked. They, in turn, thought I was some kind of idiot because I loved Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

I had an associate of a friend who thinks Pulp Fiction is boring, but loves Transformers 2 and Ghost Rider. But my problem is his reasoning, it's of ignorance and maybe ADHD. And after talking to him about other movies, I figured he's a tool.

Actually, I recall when I was smaller I had a friend who thought RoboCop 3 was the best RoboCop movie. Haven't kept in touch with him, but whether he still thinks that, who knows.

the last couple times I when to the movies with my friends, and we couldn't decide what to watch, I got stuck watching/buying for, cowboys and aliens, and puss in boots

Some of my friends refuse to acknowledge that Batman Begins & The Dark Knight are good films simply because they either don't like the suit(s) or they don't like Bale's voice or the use of technology or they didn't like Heath Ledger on general principle or because the Joker's not "perma-white". God I am so sick of that crap, even if they are my friends. Not surprisingly, one of them thinks Frank Miller's God awful "All Star Batman & Robin" is the best Batman story ever.

Meanwhile another friend of mine refuses to acknowledge that X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a bad film that fails to capture the essence of Wolverine's back story.

Wow, some fanboys will nitpick TDK but most will concede that it's a very good movie.

I now remember as a kid going to school when Batman & Robin came out, everyone I knew of who saw it liked it.

Even as a kid I didn't like it at all. Batman being so colorful and campy wasn't my idea of him at that age.

Why? I just can't wrap my head around this one.

"Because the song is about a time traveler! But everyone is going to think its about that ass hole!"

When I told him that Iron Man the character predates the song, AND that only the songs instrumental is used in the movie...

"Its still gay."

So I asked him if he realized that Ozzy was payed for the music. They had to get permission to use it. Its not like they just snatched it up and threw it in the movie.

"Thats their business."

I hate friends who say they want to watch a movie; however, when when the movie starts, they start texting and then they ask stupid questions during the movie because they weren't paying attention.
I have a buddy who had never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, so withing the span of a week we watched the ones I owned (I didn't own KOTCS at the time). We're in the beginning of Last Crusade and I realize he's looking down at his phone texting. So I wait a few seconds and I shout "HOLY **** THAT WAS CRAZY". I see him immediately frantically look up to see what he missed.

Same friend also recently looked at me like I had **** on my face when I told him I thought Battle: Los Angeles sucked. I laughed when he told me he liked it and immediately didn't want to debate it with me.

One of the airheads on E! yesterday said she thought Jean Dujardin should win Best Actor for The Artist because his accent was so great.

The Artist, of course, being a silent film...
So stupid, was it Giuliana, Kelly Osborne or the living mummy Joan Rivers?

As a naive little kid I thought the same about the Police Academy movies, my thinking was that each sequel was funnier than the last :whatever: little did I finally realize that when Steve Guttenburg had left the series the spark died in the franchise. *snicker*

seeing as how puss in boots got great reviews I don't think that really counts...

I know a guy, not a friend, whom I asked in 2001...

Me: "Have you seen the Lord of the Rings?"
Him: "No, but I went and saw Freddy Got Fingered."

I didn't speak to this person again.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I have yet to see the Lord Of The Rings series, despite being interested in giving them a look.

Unfortunately not all of my book club friends are rational when it comes to these things. Ironically, they have no problem with Captain America's costume in "Captain America: The First Avenger" or the upcoming "Avengers" film even though neither costume is 110% accurate. It's enough to make me want to go Incredible Hulk on them. :hulk:

I am so sick of this defense of the Twilight movies from several of my female friends:

'Honestly, they're loads better if you've read the books'

:cmad:

yeah, I enjoyed it, better than the last two shrek movies, that's for sure.

Puss in Boots was awesome one of my friends loves Sucker Punch I dont hate the movie but its not good.
