I think his voice is perhaps his best asset. It's perhaps the best voice we've had in the role yet. And what the heck is a "Bond voice" anyway? We've had a large variety in vocal sound throughout the franchise - how the heck is Craig's voice not suited for Bond in a way the others were?Cyrusbales said:Craig doesn't have a bond voice,
Looked 100% like Bond to me. In what other spy franchise will you see Aston Martins, beautiful women in fancy dresses, bizarre villains, and casinos? This film just looks just like any other spy action flick.

The line is, "Yes, considerably."Two Face said:I thought Craig's voice was dull "Yes... Consibley." (spelling?) or "that hand... almost killed me..."
Neither (check the dossier on the official site - the "recently taken from the SAS" thing was in earlier drafts but ultimately dropped). In this film, Bond has just been promoted to Double-O status, after serving with MI6 for eight years previously in various roles, and then in the Royal Navy before that. His history in this film almost directly mirrors Fleming's original background for the character.ROBOCOP CPU001 said:in this movie bond is straight out of the SAS or SBS i'm not sure which..

"You noticed." "Get the girl out!" "Well we wouldn't want that, would we?" "That last hand... nearly killed me..."
I love it. It's deep, smooth, striking, and powerful. I'm absolutely adoring his subtle, underplayed delivery. Bond isn't the kind of man to put on a show for other people to enjoy. I can't imagine a better Bond voice.

Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. I do think Craig has the *best* voice we've had for Bond yet, or at the very least it's tied with Connery. It's fantastic. Ever since he was cast, I'd been saying that, and now I really can't wait to hear him say the immortal line.Cyrusbales said:You don't need to imagine it, there's been 6 better ones already! (yeah, i'm including the old casino royale film!)
He looks to be pretty suave to me in those casino scenes - I love the way he walks into the Casino Royale. Pure Bondian attitude and elegance, but without expense of the toughness. And to be fair, the "suave" and "charming" scenes from CASINO ROYALE aren't even featured in the trailers (though, believe me, they're there in the script and have been filmed), so it's hard to say whether he pulls that aspect off or not.Cyrusbales said:Connery IS bond, anyone else is gonna be substandard, but craig looks to be the worst so far, he doesn't look suave, he doesn't sound suave, he just looks and sounds like a two bit thug.
