Oh lord... What hath I wrought with a single question to our beloved Lounge?

I didn't even look back far enough to see that you started this, Krypton. But, that figures.

Fanboys is the best Star Wars film. Period. End of discussion.

Now allow me to serenade flickchick with cheesy 90s songs for no reason what so ever.

Reminds me of that time me and Reek spent in a Vietnamese brothel, lovely woman with a tattoo of Slave I across her back.

I will not engage in any more star wars talk. I came here tonight and found myself disappointed in all of you.

I hate that you know my weakness.

When I was in high school a girl that lived up the road from me would pick me up on her way to school if I missed the bus and she saw me on the side of the road. She would blast Gin Blossoms every time.

I saw the Gin Blossoms live. They were pretty good.

truth be told a lot of those 90s bands put on a good show... smashing pumpkins are amazing live... Corgan doing his acoustic thing

Maybe because autotune wasn't a thing yet and they actually had to sound somewhat decent for real in order to sound somewhat decent on albums.

Some of that bad ass Canadian sound.

I think of myself as more of a pillow girlfriend.

...Because he was supposed to? He was supposed to be another thing entirely in TLJ. No longer the faceless menace, but, ya know, a person. At any rate, he lost "intimidation" points gradually throughout TFA, starting with his toddler tantrum.

Which is frankly backwards. Kylo's villainy and evilness should have been building to a crescendo throughout the trilogy. Not wavering in TLJ.

JJ gave us a faceless creature in a mask, but then half way through TFA he reveals that under the mask is the emotionally vulnerable, torn, person that was indoctrinated. He even had him waver allegiance on the bridge. But once he killed Han and Snoke said, "Bring me Kylo so that I can complete his training." That should have been the end of Ben. In TLJ we should have found Kylo steeped in the darkside, trained, battered, and a more emotionally cold person. Suffering less from the Light side's influence. And by the end of TLJ he should have been Supreme Leader and in full Dark Lord mode. Instead Rian in his own way repeated Kylo's character beats from TFA.

Which isnt entirely wrong, considering TLJ's story takes place only hours after the events of TFA. Because there is no time jump Kylo is the exact same person he was at the end of TFA which really tied the story's hands and slams the brakes on the trilogy's progression. But at the same time Rian is attempting to pull the EBrake he is injecting NOS into the story trying to move the story forward in one huge leap.

Think about it. TFA covers maybe a week at most. TLJ only covers a couple days at most. Think about all the stuff that happened in less than 10 days. Its absurd. It's fine for one film to cover one or two major eventd, all Star Wars films do, but there needs to be a time gap in between films to reset some of the pieces and have character and story progression at a believable pace.

As you can tell I have a love/hate relationship with the film.

I have a lot of problems with Rogue One but I can appreciate it for giving us one of the best episodes of Half in the Bag.

I am thinking of options for a DD themed avatar (preferably based on the show).

I played Injustice 1 an hour or so ago, so I thought of Doomsday first.

What options do you have in mind?
