So, for those of you that are planning on binge-watching the series, have you made your plans already on how to make the best experience out of it?

This is the first time I will be binge-watching a series like this, I don't do it normally since I usually don't have the time to, but my schedule has been so hectic lately that I really need to have a full weekend of "doing nothing" and I think this will be it.

I am planning on watching the show at home with 4 of my friends and flatmates (all are comic book fans), and we've already made a list of favorite foods and drinks we're gonna be getting. We'll start on Friday with the first 3 episodes at least, and then finish off the rest of the show on Saturday. I'm even thinking about having a day off from the gym... :funny:

So anyway, how are you planning on spending the weekend following the release of the show? Are you gonna watch it at home, or somewhere else? Alone or with other people? Are you gonna do the whole show in one sitting, or gradually over the course of the weekend/week?

I am really curious to see how other people are preparing for the show. For me, it's really a special occasion because this show sounds like a dream-come-true, and the more I think about it, the more excited I get, so maybe we can all exchange ideas on how to make the most out of it and enhance this experience. :daredevil

i fly back to ny from italy on saturday 4/11. my flight lands at 5pm. i hope to be back home by 630pm. shower, eat dinner with the girlfriend...and then hopefully by 8pm, sit down and start streaming. depending on how gripping the show is...i might go straight through till the end. she'll want to watch it too. if she falls asleep, then the i will probably keep watching and then will have to watch again when she wakes up :)

I'm done work on Thursday night at 12.I booked Friday and Saturday off. So I plan to start at 3 am Friday.See how it goes from there. It will get done that weekend.

I've already put in for Friday off, and my classes end in the early afternoon on Thursday, so I'm starting at 3am Friday for sure and will watch at least a few episodes before I crash. Might even go to bed right after classes so I can wake up at 3am to do it all at once, haha.

I'll be treating Friday April 10th like Christmas morning. I'll get up super-early, and maybe watch an episode before I even get ready or have breakfast or anything. Then I'll get ready and maybe go for my morning swim if I'm feeling productive. But I should be bad home from that by 10pm, after which I'll cram in as much of the season as is practical.

Then, annoyingly, I'll be away all weekend. I'm a guest at Edinburgh Comic Con so will have to travel and spend the night away from home for that, getting back home late Sunday night. I'll maybe grab an episode on Sunday, then watch whatever's left over Monday/Tuesday.

My plan is to watch two or three episodes per day. Of course, that's subject to change due to certain factors, namely cliffhanger endings and lack of willpower. :cwink:

I managed to get through 13 episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in 2 days. I plan to do the same (or might go for 1) for Daredevil.

Classes are over for me by 12PM on Fridays, so I'll run back to my dorm and watch it for the next 13 hours, then go to bed.

A few friends and I have Friday set aside for "Daredevil Day" and are planning to to start around 9 AM and just power through it that day.

As soon as I'm off Friday it's on. I'll probably finish Saturday afternoon. I just did that with House of Cards season three as a warm up. :o

Managed two and a half series of Breaking Bad this weekend as marathon training. Should be able to "power watch" Daredevil with no problems. Just unplug the phone, keep the curtains drawn, load up on Doritos and Dr P and it should be an easy win.

:jabba

I watched all of the first season of Orange is the New Black in one day, in one sitting. I was home sick with the flu.

I'll wait until Sunday April 12th, to binge watch it all at once. If I don't break down and begin watching it Saturday evening. After the 10th, I'll try my best to avoid the hype until after I've watched the whole season.

It would be nice to know in advance if the red suit shows up, so I don't have my hopes up the whole time. Of course, I'd want to wait to see it now until it's revealed for sure on the show.

About 3 eps Friday, 5-6 Saturday and the rest Sunday.

How many episodes in total? I'll probably limit myself to 3 a day depending on how good it is.

Edit:- 13 episodes so I'll go with 3 a day then 4 to finish off :daredevil

I'm gonna try to shoot for 2 or 3 episodes per day. How many are there again?
As much as I'd like to, I'm gonna stop myself from watching them all TOO fast.

I'm going to watch the last episode first and then watch every episode from last to first in reverse order. Why? Memento style baby!

I do not follow TV viewing conventions! I watch TV episodes in my own order!

MegaCon starts the same weekend, so I'll probably only get to see a couple of episodes in the hotel room that night. Plan on meeting Stan Lee the next day, so I'll need a good night's sleep!

But even if I wasn't going to be at the convention, I wouldn't binge. Like Quasimod0, I'm going to savor this. Two episodes a day for me, max.

I know a lot of people, including my brother, like to devour these Netflix shows all in one gulp (this will be my first Netflix series, too, by the way), and that's fine. I don't want this to sound like I'm criticizing anyone for their viewing habits, because I'm not. Me personally, though, I can only stand watching something on TV in two-hour bites, tops. It's actually one of the reasons I still regularly go to the cinema: because I feel a lot less guilty about doing nothing for two hours when I'm outside of the house.

If my calculations are correct, this will go live around 9 in the morning here, and I get home from work some three hours after that. So I will probably watch at least half the season on friday. And the rest of it will surely be over until the weekend is :woot:

I'm going a different direction than those patient few. I'm very nearly force binging.

I have to have a surgery the 8th so I have the excuse of not quite being a fully functioning member of society. Heck, one of the few things you can do hooked up to IVs and in bed most the day is TV binge. It's the whole reason I got a kindle and a Netflix account in the first place and I don't like to brag but I've become something of an expert.

I have binged so many series. And half of them I only sort of liked. There is no way I would have watched as much of them if I had been required to wait to watch week to week. I recently finished watching two seasons of Once Upon A Time despite the main characters basically being some of the worst people ever (seriously... has anyone else watched this show? Is it normal to want all the "good" guys to just go off and die to give Regina and Rumple more screen time?). I really do have it down to an art.

Then again, if it's something I really enjoy, I have this kind of weird habit of stopping in the middle of a show/movie/book. I guess I just like having some time to soak it in and really get all the goodness out of it before I continue on and find myself at the end. So OUaT - did not like it all that much, put it away pretty quick. On the other hand, I will still set aside a couple of days when I'm planning on going back through Firefly. It might only be 14 episodes but those are 14 episode I like to really admire.

So to a certain extent how quickly I manage to get though depends on how much I enjoy it. I mean, I know my limits and I could easily get through the series in a day, but I'm hoping I have to pause for awesome. Still, like I said before, I'm pretty much forcing myself to binge and get through it in no more than three days. Not because of internet spoilers or anything (spoilers have never put me off anything. I'm a classic lit nerd. Everyone knows the ending of Dr Jekyll and Dorian Gray and the likes, but that doesn't change how amazing they are. It's all in the journey - just knowing the what happens doesn't mean all that much to me) but I'm hoping after three days I'll be back on my feet. So hopefully DD isn't SO awesome it takes me five days worth of pausing to get through it.

Good luck with your surgery, gildedmuse. I've been there a couple of times myself, and it's never any picnic.

I have my final project due April 22nd, so I won't be able to watch any of it until that's over with. So I'll go close to two weeks before being able to see it. But once I graduate I'm going to binge-watch all of Daredevil, Agent Carter, and Agent's of Shield season 2 all in one glorious, long weekend before I start my job. I don't plan on moving off the couch for a solid four or five days to catch up on all the MCU stuff I'm having to miss.
