Your Top 10 Halloween films

hey its that time of year, and my favorite to watch halloween/scary movies. I love hearing new suggestions... so i thought this would be a great place to have everyone compile a list. Not all "halloween" movies have to be scary.. but many are just plain good, or funny. So post the 10 movies you almost can't do halloween without watching. and if you want state why.

My list...
1)-Hocus Pocus-(best overall)Brillant, and quite possibly the best Disney live action film of the 90's... It's not only one of my favorite halloween movies, but one of my favorite movies period.
2)-Trick r Treat (best traditional) Instant classic upon first viewing. This movie quite literally captures the spirit of Halloween with interweaving entertaining stories.
3)-Halloween (best slasher film) I personally don't actually own it, but it's a must see, and I usually catch it on TV each year. Quite possibly one of the best slasher films of all time
4)-A Nightmare before Christmas (best animated) nuff said
5)-Evil Dead II (best WTF)
6)-The Shinning (best ghost movie)
7)-The Exorcist (best possession movie)
8)-28 days later (best zombie/plague movie)
9)-Shaun of the Dead (funniest movie)
10)-Interview with the Vampire (best vampire film)

I usually watch the films listed below annually throughout October for the halloween spirit.

28 Days Later, Evil Dead trilogy, Halloween, The Shining, American Werewolf in London, Alien, Aliens, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Exorcist, Seven, Invasion of the Body Snatchers('70s remake), Shaun of the Dead, and The Thing.

see for me, i try to avoid sci-fi in my halloween films.. and by sci-fi i mean alien stuff or killer animal style movies (jurassic park, jaws, etc..) just because they don't scream halloween to me, and feel far less "seasonal" to me.. but can see why some would still watch them around this time

I usually like to do horror marathons and sleepovers around the date. This year I watched the scream films again, the year before that friday the 13th , and ill probably watch TrickRtreat around this time alot .
