I'm starting to turn on these Snyder cultists. They are a ****ing cancer and beyond toxic. This is coming from a Zack Snyder fan who loves his films. They all need to go away and ****.

Geoff Johns is doing a Q and A and you could imagine the comment sections. So dense. Here's the thing: the general audience didn't like Zack's stuff. It doesn't matter what sections of the fanbase thinks about visions, what could have been and the Snyder Cut. End of story. The general audience and WB killed these films, not Geoff Johns.

It’s gotten to the point for me where I don’t want them to every get the Snyder Cut. They don’t deserve it.

The way the treat Geoff Johns especially winds me up. They label anyone who says they don’t know or care about the cut and directors that so anything different to Snyder are somehow snakes. At this point I’m like F the Snyder Cut.

Agreed. Although I will admit the only time I get upset with Johns is when I think about what could've been had he stayed on the Return of Krypton storyline he started in the comics and then abandoned mid way through for the Flash. I just would love see what he originally had planned for all of that. Because after IC he was heavily invested on making Superman top dog of the DCU again starting with Up Up and Away and 52 which is why we got all those great stories but because of Flash rebirth and JSA he left at the half way mark which is sad and disappointing since all of this he started. He did the same thing to Conner after bringing him back as well. Then my other issue with him is the delays with Doomsday Clock because between that and largely because of Bendis (the man who has put the Superman comics on life support) it killed all the momentum for Rebirth.

But back to what you were saying I agree with you. I think the cultists are very toxic and just beyond annoying. I mean I want to see the Snyder Cut just to get a proper end to my Superman trilogy but not like this.

See that’s a fair thing to feel miffed about with regards to the comics plus I don’t think as annoyed as you may have been you’d be so annoyed that your go after him on social media.

The Snyderholics live in a fantasy world.

It's disappointing Joss gets a raw deal like Lester on superman 2!

Given what we saw in the Donner Cut vs the Lester Cut, I think it's fair to say Lester's contributions did make it worse. But you're right, it's not really his fault the Salkinds fired Donner. So I don't hate him for it, and Superman II was at least good in the end. Though it is flawed.

Difference is Donner only shot half of the movie because he was shooting both I and II at the same time and needed to finish the first movie so he put II on hold. Which is why even the Donner cut is not truly the Donner cut since they used his stuff and Lester for even that movie. With Snyder though it's completely different where he shot a full version of his movie and then the studio came along and reshot 90% of his movie that only 10% of what Snyder did ended up on the final cut.

I am confused as to the point in reply to mine. Yeah, Snyder's movie was more complete in regards to shooting percentage than the Donner cut. So? Does that somehow make the situation more Joss Whedon's fault than the studio? Regardless of shooting percentage, Joss was tasked with finishing and reshooting another guy's idea. Not crafting his own. So I don't blame Whedon at all for the current cut of Justice League. I blame the studio much like I blame the Salkinds for what they did to Superman II.

I don’t think Lester and the Newmans get enough credit for what they put into Superman II. There’s some wonderful additions by Lester such as they Paris opening, and the relationship between Lois & Clark was much better than what Donner had presented.

Much like Lester, Whedon was tasked with a difficult job, infact more difficult cause he had far less time to “fix” JL.

I think considering circumstances both did as well as they could. Big difference been Lester’s Superman II had the benefit of time therefore we still got a good movie whereas Whedon had an almost impossible task.

Oh I am sorry I didn't mean it like that. My point was that Lester probably wasn't under the same constraint or pressure that Joss was under. Even though both movies were good (Superman II was great while Justice League was ok). I just think people give Lester the same hate as Joss because people wanted to see what Donner truly had planned for Superman II once people knew he shot half of the movie and were upset they didn't get that and much like Joss now blame the guy who took the job. Although if I am not mistaken Lester did change the movie around more than what Joss did because if I'm not mistake Lois wasn't originally suppose to die in the first movie and the whole turn back the earth thing was supposed to happen in the second movie.

I heard about the Johns Q&A, i can only imagine the comments. I imagine the questions will be moderated though right? So he wont actually have to address any of these people thank goodness. These guys just need to let it goooo. They will be the reason WB decides to never release it.

And so we're finally getting the movie and they're talking that if it is well received there might be sequels. Interesting.

Eh while thats encouraging, its still the same old smoke and mirrors routine we’ve all been subject to for so long.

For what its worth though, Sean O Connell is reputable, as he wrote about a book about the Snyder cut movement and interviewed Zack himself very recently. So there may be something to this.

He said this is a win and this indeed did happen and negotiations have been underway..

..but he said babysteps and this is going to continue to be a marathon inside of a marathon. So basically we're ways away but it could happen eventually.

Is there any actual new info in the video, or is it just like the recent Henry thing where Eh Maybe spent minutes giving out his theories and then labelled it as news?

Dont waste your time on the video. Its 10 mins of babbling about stuff you already know and literally 10 seconds of new info where they say they learned there was a screening with Warner Execs earlier this year. Heroic Hollywood is such a garbage website.

If this is true, this happened after WB came out via the trades and said it was "pipe dream and no way it ever happens"

This could mean AT&T went over their head

Apparently there was a screening in February and supposedly it went over well. Now they're trying to figure out distribution since it won't be released in the theaters. They're looking at HBO Max or DC Universe. That's really all they said.

I suspect there are parties within WB who do want this thing dead and those are the ones using the trades to shut it down. But if we’ve learned anything about Snyder is that despite how some may feel about him, his professional reputation is ironclad around Hollywood and he’s probably still got friends from within the Burbank walls that are trying to throw him a bone.
