Wow.

I am not getting my hopes up, but I'm getting my hopes up.

All along I've taken a more wait and see approach. As more and more info has come out over the past year, I've allowed myself that "hope without attachment" approach. But now? Well, still not getting my hopes up, but my hope is rising.

That made no sense but made perfect sense!

I’m with you my man. Its been a constant push and pull. I just want them to announce that its coming. Thats it. I dont care if we have to wait until 2022 for it to actually be released. Just knowing its in the pipeline could reignite the fire and discussion to keep us all busy.

If this releases, I'm glad the non-toxic fans will get some closure here.

At the same time, I said months ago that my main concern with them releasing this is that it's only going to shift the toxic fans' attention from the Snyder Cut to Justice League 2. This movie supposedly ends with a Darkseid tease. So now instead of having to live with a butchered version of the film that works as a one-and-done, people will now have to live with the director's vision that ends on a tease that will never be fulfilled. Methinks it won't be enough.

Good luck to WB. Hope they're prepared for months (if not years) of #MakeJL2.

To be honest I saw Stephent Colbert mentioning if they get good revenue a "second season" might not be out of the question......though the cast might be an issue, I'd say maybe use a totally different cast with cameos from the main cast....like they do with TV spin offs/movie-direct dvd sequels etc.....that'd differentiate between the film and TV universes.

I've said this before, and maybe it's just my innocent naivete, but I do think the Snyder Cut had so many specific factors that allowed all this to come to fruition in this way. I think the the more toxic Snyder fans have no leg to stand on for sequels. I mean, they have every right to be passionate about it and discuss it online, but all that extreme toxic behavior, I think a lot of that dies away (the tweet bombing, calling WB and cornering the secretary, etc, etc).

We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. For now, now is the time to release this. The man’s got a movie with well over 2 hours of unseen footage of Henry Cavill, Affleck, Gal, Fisher, Mamoa and co kicking butt. We may not get another Justice League movie for a long long time. Let us have this!

At least #RTS gets retired, but I give it a week before a new one takes its place and the fandom continues to spam every DC news story with it.

If this is all legit, what surprises me is that it's happening during the pandemic (the negotiating, etc). If anything, I thought Covid was going to either push back or really hurt the chances of a Snyder Cut coming given all the barriers it puts in place. That surprises me as much as anything.

On it's own, I have no issue with this being released. I truly don't. I'm sure I'll get around to watching it at some point myself. And it's a good win for those fans who haven't been completely ****ing obnoxious about it. For better or worse, I'm glad fans will get to see the film they originally signed up for.

But it's not going to end here. I know it, you know it. God help DuVernay and Reeves the next time they tweet about their respective films.

I thought if he's not gonna reshoot it they'd use this time to release it, with more people stuck at home and the lack of new product coming out, this gives HBO a head start somewhat. Though IDK if they'll announce it for a much later date or actually release it soon

WB should tell him that before they let him release the movie, he has to call off his dogs of war asking for more movies. He's been really great with the fans for the most part, but I don't recall him ever telling the crazy ones to stop doing things that may have been frowned upon.

If he disavowed some of the crazy stuff thats gone on online, I think that would help.

I think its just gonna be the announcement which quite frankly is all thats needed to break the internet and get everyone buzzing. I think everyones willing to wait as long as it takes for Zack to finish it but we’ve all been waiting for Warner Bros to acknowledge this thing’s existence.
