And this is something we didn't know. So that speaks to my discussion with @herolee10 that there is stuff we don't know. Did anyone know that beforehand?

No, but it's only a minor detail. Nothing earth shattering like having it revealed that there's another group scene involving the WHOLE league together after SW's defeat.

Plus, it's kind of telling that Clark wasn't with Bruce, Diana, and Alfred when the latter group were discussing plans for the league's future.

Honestly, I'm kind of curious to see on what Clark's role in the group would have been like in Snyder's sequel to the film because there wasn't much of an opportunity to show that in this film (well with him being dead for the first half).

Oh, in an ideal world, we would have seen Henry's Superman telling the league that they could defeat SW when united. It felt like such a Superman thing to say.

So, finally watched the trailer.
It definitly looks more fitting in terms of visuals.
If it looks "better", that is something people have to decide for themself...i was never too big on snyders visual style in the DC movies.

Darkseid looks bad imo, very clunky and unfinished.
But with 30 million dollars or so, its hard to make something when visuals are a big deal in general.
Steppenwolf looks better, but i did like the design from whedons more...i liked the more humanoid design.
Other than that, there isnt much to say, in the end the thing needs to be watched to see if it really would have made that much of a difference.
4 1hour parts sounds good, definitly enough time for one last Snyderverse ride that should make fans happy.

One thing I've noticed since BVS came out that kind of takes me out of the movies a bit is how BVS and JL both on a visual level look nothing like MOS. BVS and JL have a more Watchmen/300 heavy green screen look about them where as MOS felt very natural and real and earthy. I struggle to feel like they are part of the same universe. I feel the same regarding Cavills Superman suit with each film as the MOS suit felt like it had a more natural build and texture to it where as each suit since felt more and more unnatural and cartoony. Maybe it's just me, but I look at Justice League and just cant imagine that's the same world Zod tried to invade.

I hope this is rated R or at least on that level since its an HBO release. I want Snyder not being held back by MPAA standards so Steppenwolf can be brutal and not a little ***** like he was in Josstice League. Looking at the new SW design I can imagine him lacerating and mangling some people with those spikes on his armor. Parts of it look like it'd be razor sharp.

I loved the trailer and it was more than everything I've ever wanted. I cannot be more happy about it.

But if I was being very objective : the vfx in couple of shots is really raw. It needs a lot of work. And Zack did say in an interview today they had to rush the VFX for the trailer.

The funny part is I and many others were down for a work in progress Snyder Cut, if it meant its being released. So I honestly am not going to complain, its a miracle its being release AT ALL. Initially I was like "Really another year to release it? Why take another year?".

But now I want them to take AS MUCH time they need to get it right. Polish it up. They are giving him the time and money. Take your time Zack. We waited for 3 years + we can wait a bit more to see everything in its intended glory.

Honestly I'm not going to give them much grief over the cgi. Snyder is having to complete a 4 hour epic with $30 million. Its a miracle we are getting this at all so if some of the vfx look a little rough or standard HBO quality I'm gonna let it slide. Id literally watch this thing with entirely unfinished scenes (visible green screen, wires, greyscale animations etc) if I had to.

Just to put things in perspective, Josstice League was 2 hours and supposedly 80% of it was reshot footage. That means Snyder is replacing 96 minutes of footage from the Josstice version, and adding another 2 hours to that. He has to complete post production work on 216 minutes of footage in a superhero epic with only $30 million.

So please, everyone, keep your expectations reasonable. This thing might not be as polished as some of yall want it to be.

Unless I'm mistaken, didn't Snyder have an original production budget of $200 million plus to put into some of the visual effects for this film (prior to his departure)?

I really liked the teaser. It totally felt like watching a a teaser for a different movie altogether. So many great little character moments that really made me very emotional! VFX and colour grading needs a lot of work in some places but since the release is still months away I am not worried that much. Even if the VFX is not on par with Snyder’s usual levels I wouldn’t mind it since most of us were ready to accept even a raw version.

I'll probably get some crap for this but the trailer looked OK to me. Still looks very CGI heavy which usually takes me out of it. I'm not a big fan of Zack Snyder but I am a fan of a director getting to tell a story their way - so I'm still curious and excited to see the 'real' version of this film in the way the director intended - rather than a mishmash of 2 different directors.

Those are my exact feelings about this.

From what I recall, Flash's traveling back in time only reverses the explosion that originally kills the league in Russia.

Silas Stone dies prior to the League's final confrontation with SW.
Not sure it will be in Russia necessarily. We will see.

Why are some people pushing for a "R" rating for this movie. wasnt the goal to get as much people to watch. I want my kids to b able to enjoy a JL movie with me but i can do that if the movie is R.

Did you let your kids watch BvS UE? That's R-rated.

According to Snyder this is made for grownups so I think you were out of luck from the start.

Is BvS rated R? For violence. These days I think films and TV shows are more lenient.
Prob chopping off SW head would give it an R. I don't think there will be anything in there kids can't see... but watch it a few times alone first to be sure... ; )

I think we figure with the R it wont get softened too silly...
