This will be an interesting experiment for sure. It has to be different enough to live up to the mythical reverence the fan base has given Snyder’s cut.
I can see bringing in more backstory like Cyborg’s but for all intents and purposes, the main storyline is the same. Bruce recruiting heroes to stop Steppenwolf as he tries to get the mother boxes. The action sequences will most likely be the same with a few new angles and lines. The Superman resurrection will probably use the originally Junkie XL score.
But I can’t imagine there being enough of a change to fix a story that was originally bland to begin with. If anything it will add more bloat.

Honestly, the fact that the Snyder Cut is being released at all is a miracle in and of itself. I couldn't ask for more than this. What would also be great is a surprise announcement is at the end of Snyder’s JL show in 2021 that he will be doing animated versions of his full DCEU 5 movie plan. I have always been super curious to see what is full JL2-3 plans were going to be!
Yep. Same general plot (defeating Steppenwolf) but with greatly enhanced character development. The only difference is, we know JL had much more material cut out, so it'll almost be like an entirely new experience.
Man, it feels like we're really back to the late 2016 to early 2017 era on this forum.

I feel the SC will be like BvS UE. The TCs are trash while the director's cut are so much better. BvS TC was absolutely butchered by the removal of Clark Kent investigation scenes, which along with Batman's hunt for Kryptonite, set up their battle. The SC will be much better with Cyborg's scenes, who supposedly is central character of the movie. Plus more backstory for other characters.

I can feel it already. This is going to be much more comprehensive than the BvS TC vs UE differences. There is so much meat to be added content wise it will definitely feel like a new experience.
I agree.I do think the UE of BvS is better than the TC of it, but I don't think the difference was very vast. At least, not enough to convert people who hated the movie. I think people who liked it or thought it was okay in the TC for me out of the UE than someone who thought it was terrible. Much of the core things about the TC are unchanged in the UE, like the tone, the style, etc. It just offered more context. I think similarly, someone who hated MoS or BvS is not going to like the new JL cut. But, like I said before, no one is forcing anyone to watch it if they're not interested.
But this will certainly be vastly more different in this case than the 2 BvS cuts.
I dunno why but I think Ben might agree to do some ADR or even take part in small reshoots if needed.Hello there Ben
I'd say more like a poorly done fan film, really. This is still so surreal. It like that 2017 movie never happened. It was basically a glorified trailer for the real movie coming 2021.
