I actually liked Dark Phoenix too. Also Fantastic wasn't bad it just felt incomplete. It felt like it's missing the whole middle part of the movie. Which is understanding given the behind the scenes drama. But still other than that I enjoyed it personally.

Yeah, I really liked it until the "one year later" bit, then it got pretty shaky.

I've been thinking about how Whedon clearly had no idea what to do with The Flash. Snyder has him time travelling and entering other realms of reality, Whedon had him push a truck.

There was clearly a major restructuring of the final battle with Steppenwolf, Whedon had both The Flash and Superman leave to help civillians, likely because he just wanted them out of the way.

It's a clear response to the people who whined and whined and whined about the heroes not directly saving any civilians during the previous two movies. There probably wasn't much like that in the third act of Snyder's film, more of a pitched battle. There's an entire subplot about it in Whedon's movie.

I gotta say man, the people in charge of HBO Max are damn committed to their DC content. Having renewed all of the DCU series for new seasons, they’re going all in. They’re gonna promote the Hell outta ZSJL when its ready. They posted this a couple days ago on their Youtube page:

As they should be considering this has the potential to be the biggest thing ever to hit streaming. I believe once they work out all the bugs and get everything up and running HBO Max is seriously going to be a force to be reckoned with and give Disney Plus a run for its money. Renewing great, quality DC shows like Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn will only take them further too and I'm there for it all man.

Honestly, imo, HBO Max is already a great app with great content, they just need to fine tune their marketing and get their original programming going. In the 3 months since it launched I've used this much more than Disney +. With Disney + I watched it for the Mandalorian and relived some of the classic Marvel cartoons from the 90's. But after a month or so of that I didnt really turn that app back on, there was nothing else for me to watch on there really. I tune in and put on Simpsons a few times but thats it.

HBO Max, though, their catalogue is expansive and theres something there for everyone. Theres new movies, classic films, all-time classic films like Gone with the Wind and Casablanca for film lovers, there's DC content, Cartoon Network stuff, Adult Swim, Looney Tunes, anime. The app has a lot going for it and can be a serious streaming contender. IF the Snyder Cut delivers, it will raise the bar for original content.

Ah, but you are...

I agree and that's why I like HBO Max they use everything they have and it appeals to all ages. Not only that HBO Max is just getting started people tend to forget they own Cinemax too which means we can see Strike Back, Warrior, Outcast (which I hope they give a new season to), Banshee and more up there. Hell they own the rights to Two and a Half Men but are leasing it out right now. Wait until they truly get everything back and they could have a lot of followers just on old content alone. The only thing Max needs to do IMO is let the user add a profile picture like Disney and Netflix's does.

Disney+ really should use more of what they own and stop editing their adult content. I mean they own the Die Hard movies, Family Guy, American Dad, King of The Hill, Aliens and all the other Fox movies and shows and they should use that to their advantage. However if they are going to edit those movies and shows like they did Splash then I don't want them up there. They even own all the shows on Stars and won't add them.

I think 2021 will be a better year for HBO Max. I think with Titans, Doom Patrol, Snyder Cut & Harley Quinn puts DC out there. The only issue is, checking a recent io9 article the only new HBO series and it's not really HBO Max exclusive, that is CB, sci-fi, fantasy related is His Dark Materials for the remainder of the year.

They're getting Warrior as well.

HBO Max has got a TON of stuff currently slated for 2021. I'm sure some of it is delayed and hasn't been announced yet, but not even including the next seasons of Doom Patrol or Raised by Wolves, or any of the HBO content, these are all the potential scripted shows they could be putting out next year:

They'll be just fine, content-wise, for the foreseeable future.

I don't see GL or JLD being released next year. We haven't even heard casting yet no?

Meanwhile.

Nope. If either comes next year, I'd imagine it would be Fall at the earliest. TV shows don't generally take as long as movies, though - a lot of times they announce major casting right before they start shooting, or AS they are shooting - so it's still very possible, if the ball starts rolling before this year is out.

Still can't get HBO Max here. At Fandome Zack did say there would be a mechanism for international release but haven't found out what that will be yet.

This might backfire visually. I mean, Zack shot 90 something percent with actors 4 years ago. Affleck is thinner now than he was then. Cavill is bulkier.
