I remember how back in the day I wanted to see a live action adaptation of the DCU online trailer.


It just hit me that The Knightmare shares many similarities with this trailer

I do agree, I think it’s a visual thing for him only. I don’t think we’ll get an explanation to why he chooses black. But I’m used to that with Snyder’s style, he tends to do things and doesn’t really explain them.

To be fair here, wasn't the black suit (regeneration suit) in the comics just for appearance's sake too? I mean, yes, they added in-comic context to it, but he was given an edgier look just because it was his return from the dead and nothing more. Given this Superman just died, I think it's fine to want him to come back with a black suit even if there isn't an explanation/reason given, it's a comic-book nod and that's good enough for me

No in the comics it was a special suit that’s absorbed Sun rays at a faster rate for his recovery.

I’m not knocking Snyder for not giving us an explanation btw. It looks freaking cool.

Black suit was also going to be used in cancelled "Superman Lives" movie, which Nic Cage was attached to.

I wouldn't be suprised if that made Snyder consider it in first place.

What if first flight 2.0 is Superman flying into space for a quick sun bath...”one day, they will join you in the sun”...quick cuts to the league battling...”one day, you will help them accomplish wonders”...then boom he takes off towards the fight.

One thing I've been thinking about is how this movie is supposed to end. From what Snyder has said, we're supposed to see Darkseid via boomtube at the end signifying that he and his army are incoming, the war isn't over, right? If that's the case, how does the group shot of them waiting for the Flying Fox in the trailers or the aforementioned shirt rip scene supposed to fit in there? Snyder has hinted that he's leaving this movie open-ended.

In the manner of "we know danger is out there, but until/if the day comes when we have to face said danger, we'll keep doing what we do best and protect this world from tyranny."

That's how I read it anyway.

Been watching some YT reactions, and damn people are hyped for this movie. And people of all ages, from different countries etc. I didnt know so many people were fans of the previous stuff, even in YT comment sections which are usually pretty hostile, so many people are pumped for this movie and showing a lot of love for Snyder and his DC movies. Good to see some positivity.

I believe that cut still had some of the compromised stuff in though like a few of the humour moments and the WB version of Steppenwolf. I could be wrong mind.

Yeah it definitely had the other Steppenwolf, but I'm pretty sure the added Johns lines were not there in 214. Cant see Zack shooting things 2 ways, and then NOT put that in his own cut of the film.

The sonic wave can't wake the Atlantean box since it is under water and the box of man is locked up in a vault somewhere?

Or it can wake them all.?

At least we see that the box awakening seems to send a signal or open the boomtube... and alert the Amazons.
