I dont think there is anyone better. He would deliver in spades.

i wanna see how he does Watchmen first. if i like it then full steam ahead for JLA

Isn't this what people were saying about Bryan Singer for Superman just after X2?

I'd be all for it so long as it features the big three and Gerard Butle does not appear.

i never wanted Singer for Superman. dont get me wrong i'm a fan of his work but i wanted him to finish what he started which was the X-Men franchise. i felt a nasty sense of foreboding when he suddenly jumped ship. felt like we were stealing him and karma wouldnt be too far behind. (i know that's not what really happened but it just felt like it).

Gerard Butler for Booster Gold! :p

I don't recall. After watching the first Xmen, I didn't want Singer for any comic films, and I knew superman returns was going to be a let down when it was announced he was doing it, and i said that. Don't get me wrong, SR wasn't bad infact it was a beautifully shot film, with great fx, but it was flat. Xmen and x2 didn't suck, but they weren't these awesome flicks that everyone makes them out to be.Singer did a passable job. The acting and the drama was good on some points but the action was mediocre. Singer didn't even bother to stick to the source material for all the characters. The improvment on any character was Toad.

I wouldn't be upset by Zack Snyder getting the gig. He's proven himself a capable director, and with a good script and good budget I'm sure he'd do fine.

Gerald Butler for Hawkman!

Don't be to sure of that. I'm sure that left of his own devices he would probably do well, but this isn't 300. When you have characters like Superman and Batman as well as the other leaguers we're getting into creative interference from the studio and producers due to the profit potential. Isn't Jon Peters a producer for superman? Would he have a hand in this on Superman? What about the Salkinds or whatever their name is, would they have a say, and What about this Legandary Pictures who co-financed SR, what's their stake and rites in the Superman character? I don't know the answers or how it would work, but it seems like WB may not want to share profits and give other parties who have rites to Superman a stake in a JL movie. I may be wrong, but this is something that hasn't been addressed.

Truth be told I don't want to see a JL film with Blue Beetle and Booster Gold and other 2nd string characters . I guess you could get a cool line up without Superman and batman, but would it pull in the same interest if these two weren't on the team? I don't think so. I just feel if a JL movie is going to be done, then Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, GL and the Flash all have to be there. I think the remaining two or three spots are debatable, but those big five should be on the team. I hate to say it, but even Batman can be left out if you have to leave out a big character, and that's due to his status as a loner more so then his popularity. I think fans would understand that, they wouldn't like it, but they could understand it.

Gerald Butler for Hawkman!

I'd think Snyder would be great for a live action adaptation for Gargoyles. Gerald Butler for Xanatos! :cwink:

I was thinking instead that Zack Snyder could use his green screen and color correction technique for another comic-book adaptation that features mostly males all dressed the same, with a charismatic leader and a just a sexy female: The Smurfs.
Gerard Butler for Grouchy!

I'm going to wait until I see his Watchmen first before I start making banners, but judging from 300... He'd probably do a pretty solid job.

I want him to do Watchmen first, Frank Miller should direct JL.

Same deal, I'm going to have to wait and see how The Spirit comes out before putting him on any kind of pedestal.

I doubt he would be good for JLA. Hes perfect for Watchmen but not for JLA. JLA would have to be more light hearted than the films hes made before. Why not David Goyer as director as JLA? Hes the knid of guy for a project like that.

Miller should make Ronin not JLA. I doubt if Miller made JLA, anybody would like it. I doubt he likes a character who tried to act like hes morally better than everyone (Superman).

If Zack Snyder could adapt the principle story from JUSTICE then that would kick unprecidented amounts of a--.

Gerard Butler for Aquaman... seriously, this character needs a lift so that the general audience can appreciate him, and who better to make Aquaman be taken seriously then Butler.

I'm simply putting him there cause he knows the characters and he directed some great scenes in Sin City.
