Zelda

First dungeon is incredibly hard to explain. I will do my best.

From the central room, go to the Eastern room. There it's kinda messy with the sucking flowers. To up the stairs west of the entrance. Grab the bug bomb, throw it across the gap to kill the sucking plant below. Hop across. Go right, and climb the vines. Grab the bug bomb, go back to the platform you were at before you jumped on the vines. Blow up the boulder there. Go down the stairs on the left. Roll into the pillar there to get the chest with the silver key. Walk across the tiles. Start on the right, then you have to move to avoid the worms. Keep avoiding the worms on the remaining tiles after you cross it. Kill the giant Skulluta at the top of the wooden steps to save the 4th monkey.

Congrats,

You know, I'm kinda thinking about getting the Gamecube version of the game because it is technically the true version of the game, the blue fairy looks rather annoying, I don't like that Nintendo simply mirrored the game for right handed players (as left handed person, I like my left handed heroes :() and I'd like to see Nintendo fully develop the Wii controls for a Wii Zelda game instead of putting Wii controls onto a Gamecube Zelda game

You can turn the fairy off.

I think the Wii version is a lot better b/c you get special skills and in my strategy guide, it has the GC way to do it and it looks more complicated.

My main gripe is the mirroring. I find that extremely stupid.

There was no need for it at all and it makes Hyrule's map look ******ed.

How? How does mirroring the game make the map look ******ed?

Because the game is supposed to be set in ancient Hyrule. It looks ******ed that Death Moutain is at the western portion of Hyrule instead of the east.

It doesn't look ******ed. I don't really care where Death Mountain is. It connects to Kakariko Village, so I am cool with it.

But you can argue it is not ancient hyrule. The Temple of Time was in Hyrule Castle Town. In this game is is near Faron Woods. Also there is no Lost Woods or Kakariko Village.

I have to say, I really cant go back to the old control, and I think Ocarina of Time created the finest control scheme in the history of games. I'm loving this game.

Yeah, that kinda bothered me too. It is ancient Hyrule, but the Temple of Time has moved a long ways. As for Lost Woods, it could have disappeared, or maybe it's magic went away. And Kakariko Village....um, yeah, it's in the game, you even mentioned it.

I meant Kokiri Village.

i finally got my hands on this at my buddy's house, and put a few hours into it, and it's... okay.

i don't understand how everyone thinks this needs to be a "10" game, though. i get that it's zelda, whoop-dee-doo... but, for one, the dialog is in type, like 95% of gamecube games. that alone, in my opinion is worth docking a point or two, it's just lazy, especially with a game so long in development, and especially since it's obvious even the gamecube can handle voices in it's games.

that, and i simply, honestly, do not like the controls. they're not exactly bad, per se, but i really think the gamecube version will be better, and that's why they haven't released it yet.

Zelda will ALWAYS be typed text, get used to it. I'd rather have typed text then some lame-o voice overs ala FF.

I personaly love the controls, and I still hope they flat out can the GC game. :p

YOU GET IT!!

Because all I need is some idiot who sounds like crap to have me associate with Link or Zelda or Ganondorf for the rest of my life.

My imagination works just fine, and requires no assistance.

I think you're just way to obsessed with Zelda. I think instead, you should just play it and love it. :o

At the end of the day, no voice acting will beat ****ty voice acting. It is not going to kill you to read the dialog and create the voice yourself. It WILL kill you to hear a god awful voice acting job read it.

I'm also a continuity ****e :csad:

I have a question. I save right before the boss in the Forest Temple. I went in and fought him a bit, then turned the system off. It started me way back off at the beginning of the temple thing, and now the monkies are no longer hanging on the rope to cross over to the boss place, how do I get the monkies back on the rope?

Why didn't you just finish the boss? He is so damn easy. Especially once you figure out you lock on the bug bombs and then him instead of throwing the bomb at him.
