Zelda

Yeah. Really it's just Gerudo Valley... which, yeah... is weird being on the East. But considering how you access it, doesn't really make a difference.

Honestly, the whole "mirrored" thing isn't even the slightest factor once you're playing. The place is so massive you can easily lose track of where you are in the world even if you have a great sense of direction.

So I'm past the 2nd temple and its really eating at me that I missed some hidden skills. :cmad: :csad:

But the game is amazing, I've already played for almost 10 hours and I'm no where near close to done.

You should know that in a Zelda game, whatever you miss will at some point be available to you.

Shield bashing is subpar... by itself.

I love the revised parry attack. Very fancy. It's basically been split into three parts with a little more coordination required and more work to close it out... it's not automatic.

Also, the newest move I learnt is probably my favorite. To those who've attained it, I can't remember what it's called.... but you don't z-target or have your sword drawn, but you just attack at the right moment. Awesome move.

Is it like a power attack or something, swords not drawn then BAM instant death to enemy?

No, he pulls his sword, but just at the right moment. Leaving it sheathed until the last second leaves the enemy to believe he has an advantage, and causes him to become weak in his defense when he musters up his offense, I guess.

Regardless, I can't wait to actually use it... I haven't done much battle yet.

Also, it seems like the second half of the game flows much quicker than the first. I could be wrong, but it's moving at a good pace... but I'm still taking my time. 45 hours in, and I just started the 6th dungeon. I had to stop because I don't have much more time tonight before I fall asleep and the awesomeness of the entry to the 6th dungeon made me realize I'm gonna need time to play that one out. Might be my favorite yet, which is saying a lot.

Damn, well thankfully I don't have school or a job to go to tomorrow so I'll probably be playing Zelda for another 5 hours.

My component cables finally come in day after tomorrow. May hold off and continue play then.

So, I just looked through all the games that the Wii has out the only two that interested me were Zelda and Redsteel. I want more games. :csad:

The only differences between the Wii version and the Gamecube version are the controls and the ******ed mirroring.

Now now. Apparently use of the word "******" offends the ******ed by reminding them that they're ******ed. Wouldn't want them to think that they're not every bit as effective as most people!

Has there been any kind of explaination for the mirroring thing?

Most people are righty, and because the sword will be controlled by the right hand, they flipped the character model, thus creating a need to mirror the world.

The only reason they didn't mirror the GC version was because they wanted to make it seem like "it's a different playing experience".

"The Mortal Draw deals death."

Also after you get all the skills, if you Press A to put away your sword immediately after killing an enemy, Link does puts it away like at the end of the first TP preview we got.

I don't know how it is over there, but over here ****** is considered a derogetory term. We call 'em handicapped.

Why didn't they just put the sword in the right hand and not mirror the whole game? That's what I don't understand. It seems like so much effort over such a small thing.

I hate the water temple, it's annoying....then again, I find EVERY water temple annoying....

This one is easier. You literally just go with the flow.
