ah! Do you guys know if there's any plans to make world war Z into a movie? My friends and I went out to find 28 days later at the local blockbuster but it was gone. So we ended up watching High Tension or something it was weird as hell! I def. want a good zombie game to come out! I know Dead Rising was pretty fun! But I want something like free roam, where the only objective is to survive. I know there's a new Xbox 360 game coming out where if you get bit you turn into a zombie and stay that way! But I'm talking about a full on free roam. Where you start out with like a hammer and a knife and you gotta make your own weapons and all that good stuff! here's another nerdy question for you gusy, we all know that you must destroy the brain of a zombie but if you cut off the head will that do it? or will the head then just bite like crazy?

Yes, I believe World War Z will be turned into a movie. But there isn't much information, yet.

I finally found this thread!!!! I got World War Z and I love it! I also picked up the survival guide and it's pretty awesome. Although I wish the writer would theorize a reason as to why zombies eat human flesh if it's not for nutrition!

World War Z messed me up. After I read it I had all sorts of weird dreams about being attacked by zombies. I could not get those stories out of my head. Though most of them were very damn good.

A few that stick out are the female cargo pilot lost in the swamp, the japanese kid who climbs down his apartment complex to escape the zombies and the Chinese submarine crew. Great stories.

I also like the story of the family that heads north for the winter to escape the zombies...because the ending is so dreary what with the zombies thawing in the spring and all.

In the one book I read, Monster Island, they said they needed to eat to repair the cells that were decomposing or something like that.

^ for those of you who liked Half-Life, this is Valve's current project, from what I've seen so far this game looks like it will answer the prayers of many a zombie fan and anything valve touches turns into gaming gold so Im pretty pumped

there was a huge bidding war for the movie rights for world war z before the book was even released. i think brad pitt's production company beat out leo dicaprio's for the rights. no word on cast or crew, yet.

great, great book. pick up the first couple of trades and get the rest afterwards. it's like reading a romero movie... a good one.


i saw a trailer for a new spanish zombie flick called "rec" (as in "record", like what's displayed in the corner of a viewfinder in a video camera when it's set to record). it looks a lot like how "diary of the dead" sounds. basically it's shot on a handheld camera as some news crew follows a group of firefighters on their daily rounds when they end up at an apartment building that's the source of a zombie outbreak. apparently it's getting a lot of praise. you can check out the official site for the movie here. it's got the spanish language version of the trailer, but i've seen an english one online somewhere.

I've heard of this one! the only problem I have is that your like really geared up from what I've heard! you start out with like machine guns and stuff ya know? Idk I want a game where the only way to actually kill one is a head shot!

guys I thought of my plan!

1) Go to army navy store, take EVERYTHING, leave nothing behind
2) Blow up army navy store, the way i see if i just left it all nice lookin on the outside some poor shmuck would run in expecting gear and be highly dissappointed and then prpobably be bit.

3) go to local hospital, get tons of blood.
4) go to butcher get tons of meat
5) set up blood and meat in a abandon warehouse
6) lure zombies into said warehouse
7) blow up huge amount of zombies
8)hide in the sewers, zombies aren't strong enough to lift a manhole cover

I'm thinking that community that lives in isolation with a huge patrolled fence has the right idea. The houses are on stilts with retractable ladders and walkways to each other. That's the way to go.

Read all of my TPB's which I received on Chrimbo, The Walking Dead, Exiles, Astonishing X-Men...all within 9 hours, non stop reading. I had a hell of a night, not being able to sleep, having psychotic dreams. Oy, it sucks.
