Zombies!

I'm sure if the regular Zombies were left long enough they too would starve to re-death.

It's never been stated, in fact I remember in Day of the Dead near the beginning there were zombies moping around, some were even sitting on the sidewalks staring into space. And once they heard sounds coming from "food" they got up. Not only that, it's been stated in the same film they don't eat for nourishment, it's entirely instinct. As some of them had their entire digestive systems removed, and they continued to "live" and still desired to feed.

Zombies are undead creatures. Those were rage infected humans who could indeed be killed and who were still humans. Not zombies nor did 28 days later call them such.

Merely a technicality. In many early Zombie films, they weren't technically dead either, but rather humans under a sort of mind control. Like I said, there are ALWAYS different takes on the mythology.

Take vampires for instance:

Sometimes, they too are considered "dead"
Sometimes they aren't and can even be cured
Sometimes they turn into bats
Sometimes they don't
Sometimes they are hurt by garlic
Sometimes they aren't
Sometimes they hurt by crosses, holy water
Sometimes they aren't
Sometimes sleep in coffins
Sometimes they don't
Sometimes they are affected by sunlight
Sometimes (but not often), they aren't

Same with Zombies:

Sometimes they are considered "dead"
Sometimes they aren't

Also, it can really depend on your definition of "dead."

Nah, the recently infected turn within seconds in the movies.

I know that, but maybe they were recently infected in the last couple of days. And maybe they were just in the church, remember the infected child? He was just hanging around until Jim said hello.

Well, I'm sure they'd just decompose eventually.

Face it, they are Zombies. The 28DL zombies can't be killed my heartshot, only headshot and even then you have to watch out for the blood or spit.

They are ****ing Zombies, brainless flesh eating creatures who brains must be destroyed.
They didn't feast on flesh and they died just like normal humans. They just were rage a holics.

If they were zombies, than so were these guys...

Yes, that was actually the original idea for Land of the Dead. That at that point the zombies wouldn't even be a threat as they would be weak and practically turning to dust at that point.

actually the recently infect turn only after they die of infection.
What are you talking bout?

Yeah, but there were only like 4 infected in the church, including the priest. All the rest were dead.
