I'd love to see a zombie movie in the view of a zombie. Not like Land of the Dead, ENTIRELEY from the zombie's view of everything. Maybe a Stubbs The Zombie movie?

My buddy Mike is going to film school, and he called and told me about a student film, told from a zombie's prespective.

I guess it was in a post-apocalyptic zombie world, and the zombie is first wandering through a ransacked town, then into the woods, where he finds the half eaten boy of a beautiful young woman, who turns out to be his fiancee. At any rate, the zombie sees her, and memories of her flood his mind, confusing him. He doesn't know what they mean, and he starts freakin' out.

Then he just devours what's left of her.

It was pretty short, but he said it was awesome.

IMO, The Walking Dead is the greatest piece of Zombie fiction ever created.

good thread. i'm kicking myself for not thinking of it first. i'm a huge zombie movie fan. i've been collecting dvd's for a few years now and have a decent zombie film collection.

I got $27 left on my Barnes and Noble gift card after Potter and this World War Z talk has me interested. But if I were to only get one book, should I get WWZ or Zombie Survival Guide?

What do you beleive to be the best zombie film NOT directed by George A Romero?

Well not technically a zombie movie, but 28 Days Later. Either that or the Dawn of the Dead remake.

People. Look up the word zombie.
Not all zombies are undead.

Look it up. Zombies are ghouls.
?
Ghouls:
  1. One who delights in the revolting, morbid, or loathsome.
  2. A grave robber.
  3. An evil spirit or demon in Muslim folklore believed to plunder graves and feed on corpses.

Despite being a comedy, Shaun of the Dead is a serious contender for that title. 28 Days Later, and Zombi 2 As well. Although in the case of Zombi 2 it wouldn't technically be the best in the traditional sense, but it's zombie effects and atmosphere are second to none.

I also loved Planet Terror, but I'd have to see that again before I could make such a bold statement calling it the "best."

You guys remember that dog scientists brought back to life a few years ago?
