Just playing Devil's advocate here, but here's an opposing opinion from Reddit:

Too bad somebody doesn't have a database of women who, once they're secure in marriage and family, decide they're not going to have sex anymore.

Some; definitely not all, of the people on that site may just be stuck in a dead bedroom relationship and didn't seek a divorce for whatever reason(disruptive to kids, etc).

And this is why you can't paint with a broad brush. These issues are private.

The fact that your wife doesn't want to have sex with you is not an excuse to cheat.

But it does bring nuance into the situation. A lot of people in this thread regard all cheaters as morally reprehensible human beings who would sell their wives for a nickle.

I agree that its a private issue. I'm not scrolling through the list of names. Also, as I mentioned on the last page, the site doesn't verify email accounts so literally anyone could sign up by your email just so they can access the site. The fact that someone's email appears does not mean they used the site.

So it's fine to cheat on someone when they don't have sex enough?

"Sorry I gave herpes to the mother of my children. But she wasn't putting out."

Also no one, not even people in marriage's or long-term relationships, are entitled to sex. Ever.

Cheating is wrong. Plain and simple. Don't get into a relationship or get married if you're gonna cheat. Smh Can't believe there are people trying to justify cheating.

And I can't believe there are people trying to justify extortion and personal ruin.

So if a stranger knew the truth you'd prefer your wife bang another man behind your back?

WTH?

I'd prefer strangers stay the **** out of my personal affairs, period. Those would be my issues and my problems, and i should be free to deal with my Personal life however I deem fit.

Actually, from what I'm reading, a lot of people seeking extramarital sexytimes are really good about keeping up to date with STD check-ups. Even going so far as to request test results before going forward with the affair.

What options are the sexually unfulfilled half of the marriage left with? Before you say divorce; based on your position, you'd consider it shallow to end a relationship based on lack of sex since nobody's entitled to it. I'd like to add that in this scenario, both parties have talked about the lack of sex between them so communication isn't the issue.

Like...being taken for a fool until someone somehow slips up and you find out? :funny:

Privacy>Truth? That's interesting.

If the hackers want to be the real MVPs they would wipe out my and others student loans :o

You don't think Sallie backs up her files son!?

Yes, cheating is wrong and harmful. At the same time encouraging criminals and creepers isn't exactly a great moral position to be in either.

Ultimately, if your not the one who's being cheated on , or youre not the one who's effected by this leak, then you really do need to mind your own business.

Even going to an escort agency or a brothel is better than going onto a site where you can help other adulterers cheat on their spouses though, isn't it? I mean with sites like this two households/couples are being tarnished, in the scenario you describe it's better for whoever isn't getting enough sex to go to a bar or a club or whatever. This site operates because there seems to be a contingent of people who actually enjoy the idea that they're cheating on their spouses with another cheater.

The top part is funny...it's like saying at least the robber went to the effort of picking the lock instead of bashing the door in. We've reached a point in social chronology where cheating on your spouse is just another Thursday...tsk, tsk.

Again...that stopped being an option for the public at large when other people started trying to hide their shameful behavior from those they supposedly cared about. Everybody should poke their noses into crap like this, anonymity is the worst thing you can give the average human being.

My own personal opinion is that there aren't degrees of infidelity. A website or a brothel, makes no difference to me. You still broke your SO's trust if they're unaware. You'd be surprised how many AM users have their spouse's approval or they're both using it :ninja:. What would one do at a bar or club if they're not having enough sex? Or do you mean a strip club.

I only brought up the STD thing because Messiah did. It's a good point though. I'd rather get cheated on than get cheated on and a potentially fatal disease. Not quite the same as replacing a broken door.

There would be degrees of infidelity though from philosophically utilitarian sense. Just like you're saying you'd rather get cheated on than get cheated on and possibly contract a disease, would it be better for a married person to cheat with a single person than two married people to cheat with one another? In the case of spousal approval, I'm still quite disturbed. Swingers disturb me.

The fact that this is even an entertain-able discussion is quite disturbing though, I'll grant you that. We've gone from "Adultery is wrong, find a way around it" to "Well...in these six or seven cases it might be alright". Or so it seems to me anyways.

If you care that much about other peoples personal lives, when you're not involved, then you care too much. The story is interesting no doubt. What i'm saying is that if you get worked up enough to cheer on creepers and criminals then yeah, you need to mind your own business and focus on your life.

I don't care about the individuals, nor do I care about the "criminals and creepers", what I care about are the implications for society's moral discourse. But, thanks for the advice :funny:

Swingers don't disturb me but it's personally something that I would never do.

From the perspective of the person cheat on, I don't think it's better or worse if the affair partner was single or married. From a 3rd person POV, yeah you'd want to hurt as few people as possible. Haha, swingers must be some of the most emotionally secure people in the world. Jealousy? Not even once.

I think this discussion is necessary. The last 4 pages have been black/white on the issue. I'm just suggesting we all take a look at some of the grey. I think the only person with the moral authority to say whether or not a specific case of infidelity is wrong is the person who's been cheated on. In today's internet culture, we're too quick to be offended on somebody else's behalf.

How can you deal with issues you're completely unaware of?

I guess your spouse giving birth to another man's baby and you assuming it's yours for the next 15 years is totally acceptable.

At least the stranger who knew the truth stayed out of your personal business.

When I originally posted I wasn't aiming it at anyone in particular, but you decided to respond. If you feel what I say applies to you, then you're welcome for the advice.
