BvS ¿Is Brainiac the villian between Superman/Batman and JL? Which other if not?

Taking as the big cliffhanger reported, if true, we need a big villain. The best option that came in my mind, the most logical and one of the greatest oponent is Brainiac.

I've always wanted to see Brainiac from Colu.
Of course are others but I can't think of another aside of Darkseid (reserve it for sequels) you have to take in consideration that most of JL villains are aliens. Could be magical, atlanteans but I need your opinion also.

If you don't think He's the main threat. Post the one that you think is the connecting villain.

Mmm not really. Ultron is more akin to the Amazo of the Timmverse.

Braniac has been portrayed as both biological and robotic and as a combination of both during his history. He's also of alien origin, whilst Ultron is of Earth.

How exactly does Brainiac work? If you assume the typical Kryptonian origin, then you have to realize that Snyder's Krypton doesn't really have a Brainiac type of character, plus, you waste precious screen time trying to retcon and show how Brainiac was a big deal in Krypton. If you want to go the Colu route, then it reeks of not only being generic, but also Zod v.2.0 since it's basically another alien invasion plot.

I just don't see how Brainiac works in the context of Man of Steel without making a dramatic change in his origins.

Now I have an idea with a Justice League origin where Brainiac did have Kandor & also he was responsible for the extermination of Mars (except J'onn & the planet still there).

I did think of something more fitting to a Trinity story that combines S/B: Apocalypse & Johns's Brainiac.

Imagine if when Supergirl landed in the Gotham river, the ship she came in was an escape pod from Brainiac. We would have the same Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman interactions as the comic. Brainiac locates where the pod is (lets say it's moved to Star Labs in Metropolis) and he starts the invasion. We have Supergirl remember stuff about Brainiac. Being dissected, what his ship looks like. Real Freddy like nightmares.

I think that would be an interesting idea for Brainiac. I can't think how to fit Kandor in it with a recon to MOS how no one mentioned Kandor or Brainiac.

Since the Justice League appeared in the story where Doomsday killed Superman, I'd like to see Doomsday in the Justice League movie.

For this movie, I'd like to see some other alien that has been attracted to Earth because of Superman's ship and its activation and Zod's ship. Or some other alien that had laid dormant that was in the scout ship and escaped. Preferably Darkseid or Braniac.

Ok, what about if the pod lands in Gotham and is moved to Metropolis? Maybe they examine it first in Gotham and decides to transport it to Metropolis. Batman and Brainiac follows it.

Using Darkseid in the first movie would be a bad idea imo. Darkseid is THE big bad in the DCU. If they use them right away, then it's going to be very hard to top him going forward. It's better to build up to him. Have him be the shadowy puppetmaster who's manipulating things from behind the scenes in order to pave the way for his eventual arrival. Perhaps he even uses/manipulates other lesser villains in order to accomplish his goals. Then down the road in a future movie, he finally makes his move.

I think that Snyder and co will want to focus more on Earth in this one, to change things up. All of the confirmed returning characters are Earth characters and all of the confirmed new characters are Earth characters, which makes me believe this even more. Explore Superman's connections to Earth this time. Plus, with everything else that's being introduced/going on in this movie, trying to fit Brainiac in there as well may simply be too much. Save him for a future movie, where there will be more room to breath.

We're talking about JL here, not BvS. JL villains are more alien based, not many Earth villains are much of a threat to the JL.

in jl's prologue i'd like to see martian civil war in which abin sur loses his life. it is on mars where as an astronaut, hal jordan encounters him, and inherits the ring.

on earth, I'd like to see Aquaman start off as an antagonist threatening to flood parts of the world because of climate change.

over in themyscira, wonder woman tries to reason with him, and there's some sort of chekov's gun that ties whatever the hell aquaman is angry about to ares. ares' has an agreement with darkseid, in return for the warworld.

with several lanterns making their way to mars there's another checkov's gun that points to Darkseid allying with to the white martians to exterminate the green martians. the white martians want boom tube tech to repopulate the solar system with their kind.

while powering up near the sun, supes notices something going on mars, and sees that the lanterns and the green martians are being overwhelmed by the sheer number of white martians and joins the fight.

he gets in contact with bats, as bats along with wonder woman start to piece things together, with the help of hal who says the tech comes from
darkseid.

then, the **** hits the fan.
