Don't you hate it when that happens. :o

Where is this magical place.

Well my knowledge of birth control was much more limited than I thought. I was aware of birth control pills, rings, diaphragm, spermicide, and condoms but not female condoms and cervical cups. I was mystified at how the sponge from Seinfeld worked (basically a disposable diaphragm).

Yeah stay safe. Call the cops and use a man's name when ordering through a delivery app.

Reminds me of 25 years ago when my wife and I were first married, a Fed Ex delivery guy kept ringing the doorbell of our apartment and then stepping out of view of the peephole. I was still at work and my wife was off that day. Making matters much worse, there had been a serial rapist on the loose for a few weeks. She ended up calling the cops and the Fed Ex guy was apparently still mulling around the apartment complex when they arrived.

Very creepy and unsettling.

During covid (2020), there was a new guy working at the building I live in, young dude around early 30s.

I was doing some cleaning and offered him some art supplies for his kids, he said "i don't have kids, thanks" and that was it.

A few days later, I saw him cleaning my floor and he asked me if I could borrow him a charger, which I did. I wasn't thinking and let my door a little bit open... when I turned around to hand him the charger, he was peeping inside my place. Creepy.

The following week, he knocked at my door again and I ignored him. I waited a few seconds and put some music. Guess who knocked twice??? And loud! The cleaning dude. That afternoon i reported him with one of the older guys that work in the building and a few days later the young dude was dismissed.

I really hated not feeling secure at my own apartment.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable bothering a female at her home unless I knew her really well.

I remember in law school, there was a girl who I had classes with who lived on my floor in my apartment building. I didn’t know her very well and had probably only had a couple of passing conversations with her. One night, I bumped something into my aquarium which chipped off a tiny piece of glass. I didn’t see it and stepped on it, getting it lodged into my foot. It was too small to take out by hand and I didn’t have any tweezers. I was bleeding slightly. I thought about asking her if she had any tweezers but after I hobbled to my front door, I thought better of it and decided that it would be too unnerving to have a guy who she barely knew knocking on her door barefoot and bleeding.

I ended up using rubbing alcohol and a steak knife to get the glass out.
