At some point decades from now when all the information is available I'll be interested to see just how large an information silo Putin was living in during our current time. The non-incumbent parties in Europe - usually the right and far right - are making gains because Europe made themselves overly reliant on Russia for their energy policy. Same way the United States screwed itself by giving away so much of the manufacturing to China which will blow up in our face during a significant confrontation with China.
