🏈 NFL - Game On

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

If I didn't know better, I'd say it sounds like you aren't very happy about these recent developments......

EDIT: I wonder how they structured this contract. The Bills had less than 10M in cap space. They'll probably back load it, but still have to make some roster moves. Man, if the Bills can win a SB, it'll be worth it (See Rams), but this is going to be an anchor around their neck. Miller has another year or 2, but after that.........
Certainly is frustrating seeing my team actively trying to get worse as opposed to better. Every other AFC team seems to understand the assignment.

That deal is insane though. $52mil guaranteed, with $35mil of that coming on signing? Yeesh. I imagine the last 3 years and the money is all void or something to avoid cap issues.

Still worth it for a single SB victory. That team, no that town, is desperate

So about 6M spread out over 6 years with 17M more guaranteed. The remaining 85M over 6 years is said to average about 17M over the first 4 years so that only leaves about 9M per year over the last 2. I'm thinking he gets maybe 10 and 15 the first 2 years with a dramatic increase in years 3 and 4??? If so, the Bills will either have to shell out 20 or so for a 35 year old Miller in year 3 or take a massive dead cap hit of about 24M in year 3. "IF" they decide to keep him, they will STILL have to pay him upwards of 25M in year 4 or take an almost 20M dead cap hit in year 4 when he's 36. Keeping him in year 4 for sure ain't gonna happen, but a very, very good team just got better for this year (if he stays healthy.....not a given). I'm just running these numbers off the top of my head, but I'd guess it looks something like that. Maybe they go lower in year 1??? Still, I'm guessing Miller gets 50M in two years and he's got to be okay with that. LOL

If I'm Miller, I'm one of the happiest guys in the world. He totally got over on the Bills.

I've never seen a team so luckless with QBs as the Browns (at least, since Bernie Kosar). First the Manziel debacle, now the Mayfield saga.

dont forget Tim Couch

Von Miller cashed in on that SB run u know who hasn't OBJ ;)

Rams went all in and got that ring but i knew they couldn't field that same team but woods and kupp should still be dangerous and another year of Stafford being comfortable they still my SB favorite next year

titans release Julio Jones

come to baltimore Julio!

I suspect they will get OBJ back and him and Stafford seemed to click pretty quickly. If Woods, OBJ, and Kupp stay healthy, that's as good a trio as there is. Add in Higbee and they'll be fine on offense. On the defensive side of the ball, I could maybe see them going for a short term deal on a guy like Clowney who played much better last year, but, I think, still has something to prove. They will probably also want to add depth at CB.

for a guy as skilled as clowney he sure wears out his welcome everywhere he goes lol

Yup.......which is why people are generally shying away from giving him a long term deal. One thing I'll say about the Rams is that McVay seems to be universally liked and respected by the players. When you listen to his interviews after a loss, it's always HIS fault and he says he didn't put them into a position to succeed. After a win, it's all praise for the players. These guys appreciate that and play hard for him. I think Clowney "might" benefit from being on the Rams and, if they can get a consistently good effort from him, they certainly would benefit from having him.

1000% agreed again this year i said no more giants misery let me follow stafford and follow the rams on youtube and find McVay interviews they post fascinating and also knows most of the reporters by first name bases that goes a long way

Yeah....I know it's pretty obvious, and even actually was before this year, but hiring McVay was a great move by the Rams. I had forgotten about the media, but he also has a great relationship with them too. He basically seems like a pretty nice, but driven and intense, guy. Kind of a Jon Gruden type; only without being a total Brick with a P. LOL

If Clowney were to come to LA, I'm 99% sure it would be a short term deal. Clowney would have a chance to rehab his image and the Rams get a guy who could potentially help them in a big way. I could see the Jets making a play for him or maybe the Jags if they went O line with their #1 pick, but the Jags have royally screwed up IMO and spent money rather stupidly.

rams sign allen robinson to a 3 yr deal worth 46 mil

?!?!?!?!?
What is their braintrust up to??? That bodes ill for OBJ or maybe Woods is worse off than we think?????

That one has me kind of baffled.......Van Jefferson isn't perfect, but they are really really deep at receiver. To me, they could have gone out and gotten a CB to complement Ramsey or gotten help on the edge for that money.

Congrats to you Raiders fans. This is nuts

AFC West is going to be a blood bath. I wouldn't be shocked if all 4 teams made it in to the playoffs somehow.

That's a jaw dropper and giving up picks and that contract might not be the smartest thing in the world to do.
That being said, here are a couple of partial quotes from an astute observer from the last few days. :funny:

WHOA!!!!! Big deal out of Dallas. DE Randy Gregory, who was expected to re-sign with the Boys, has done an about face and will sign with Denver for 5 years to the tune of 70M. He's a very talented player, but a bit of a risk for Denver. He's been suspended more than once for failing the league's drug policy (ie doing what is completely legal in a lot of states SMH) and has had some injury issues. Big upside for Denver; who is starting to look very, very dangerous. That division is going to be absolute MURDER next year. Outside of maybe the Bills, those could end up being the 4 best teams in the AFC. I wouldn't be completely shocked if they took up all of the wild card slots next year; although the divisional games are going to be among the toughest games they play all year.
Can't disagree....:o

@Karelia

Raiders sign Chandler Jones to a 3 year 51M contract. They also traded Ngakoue for CB Rock Ya-Sin.

Jones and Ngakoue are both good pass rushers, but Jones is better in coverage. As I understand it, Indy is eating the dead money/cap hit this year of about 13M. Ya-Sin is expected to see a lot of action this year and will compete for a starting position. The Raiders basically were able to get Jones and Ya-Sin for Ngakoue. That's good work.

Rumors are that Davante Adams wants to play with Derek Carr, but that dude is going to want some MAJOR bank. If Christian Fing Kirk can get 84M over 4 years, what in the Fhell is Adams worth?!?!?!?
Now we know.....

Jesus.......I've been confused before and now there's this........

Cowboys cut La'el Collins......he's scheduled to meet with Cincy. If I'm the Bengals, I sign him and still look for another guard. Daryl Williams was released by the Bills. These guys could be gotten for a very reasonable price I think and the Bengals might still stay under the cap while signing them. If not, they would only have to do some minor restructuring. In that case, they could look other than O line with their first pick in the draft......although going in that direction might still be the best bet.

There are some good TEs who should be available near the end of the 2nd round.

I was concerned when I heard Collins was cut but then discovered it was for financial reasons. The talent is still there and the Bengals should snap him up quickly.

The Raiders are going on a feeding frenzy, picking up Packers Super Star WR Devante Adams.

LMAO at Green Bay. Who's your 250 million dollar golden boy going to throw to now, Cheeseheads?

Yeah.....Collins would be a perfect pickup for them. Reiff, if signed, would provide solid depth. Cincy has done a nice job without going jumble brained Jacksonville.

I still can't wrap my head around that Raider deal......Wuuuuuuuuuuuuut????

The raiders better do something about the right side of the offensive line or Carr is gonna get killed.

Raiders got a true number 1 Reciever... finally! Just happens to be the number one reciever in the league too lol. Time to shape that Oline a bit. AFC West needs all the prime time games...

And Derek's old college buddy!

Im sure NBC and ESPN are salivating over the AFC West games. Like I would not be surprised if all the AFC West games were Prime Time

Sounds like Woods is going to be the odd man out

Maybe they trade him for a decent edge/LB. He’s a very underrated receiver who does everything really well.

Bengals DT Larry Ogunjobi fails physical and the 40M, 3 year contract he was to sign will not happen.
