🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month 2025

It’s not explicitly queer but I did watch Luca and …come on. Despite Disney trying their best, it’s obviously queer. I love that film so much, I was sobbing by the end

I do want to do horribly aged gay films. Like one where the guy is into Bette Midler and Barbara. and happens to be a hairdresser or the girl is not like other girls and is into guy stuff. :o

Honestly those are the best ones. Ones where people were definitely gay, not just straight actors looking for an Oscar. I find a lot of the modern ones are too sexless and when they do cover queer relationships they of course have to kill them off to prove god is real or something.

The ones from the 70s are more radical. They don’t try to pretend queer people are just like everyone else which is so boring

There was one I watched that was like early 2000's that was a blind date with someone they met online turned into a how do straight and gay people stay friends while facing a social stigma message.

do you remember when Chris Pratt and jlaw made that movie that was like “omg you guys imagine if love was illegal!?!?!!” And all the queer people were like …

Mary Holland is the only good thing about that movie IMO. (The Kristen Stewart Christmas one)
I really like all the principle actors in it. Think they're all good, though Holland's quirky sister is definitely the highlight. But there is something about it that feels like it's made for older, bigoted people in the early 00s. Try to ease them into their own kids being LGBTQIA+.

Day 9

14. The Wedding Banquet (2025) dir. Andrew Ahn (NEW)

Super sweet and enjoyable flick, a bit undone by it's lack of focus. Still really good though and I absolutely adore Min.

15. Imagine Me and You (2006) dir. Ol Parker

Everyone involved with this had to be straight, right?

16. I Saw the TV Glow (2024) dir. Jane Schoenbrun

Few films have ever overwhelmed me the way this one does every single time.
