Wish it was on Blu Ray in the USI love Time Crimes. Great film.

Thing is, I have no faith that they're going to pivot towards only making high quality content. These are the same people who said they think 'Boss Baby' is the right template for their animation output. Watch them instead slash expensive prestige flicks to double down on mass-produced 'content.'Netflix to Stop Greenlighting “Vanity Projects” Like The Irishman
This could be a good thing. While I do applaud them for giving directors more of a chance than studios, most of Netflix films are mediocre at best. And I'm talking about the ones they actually had a hand in producing not just acquired.
Of the ones I've seen, the only ones off the top of my head that stuck with me are The Irishman, Extraction, Dolemite is my Name (I need that Blu Ray) and Beasts of No Nation. El Camino was cool too. But even some of the ones I liked like Adam Project, Always Be My Maybe, Marriage Story; I don't feel the need to rewatch. I guess I don't feel the need to rewatch Beasts of No Nation either. EDIT: Mudbound was really good too but it's another one I don't really feel the need to rewatch
But I think a lot of directors did their worst work with Netflix and you can tell it's just because nobody gave them notes. Dan Gilroy with Velvet Buzzsaw, Michael Bay with 6 Underground (and that's saying something), Peter Berg with Spencer Confidential.
I feel like them tightening their belts will work out in the long run. Quality over quantity
Kids love Boss Baby. That's the demo and they hit it.Thing is, I have no faith that they're going to pivot towards only making high quality content. SameSomething i've always wanted to ask... has anyone correctly guessed which window breaks in the opening scene of TDK?
I've probably seen it over a 1000 times and I always get it wrong.
I don't like animation snobs in general or when critics bash some animated movies when it's clear they're not the target audience. I think a lot of critics and just people in general have a hard time judging a movie for what it is. I mean, I still see people bashing a Fast and Furious movie for being "too unrealistic"Eh I don't get so much why adults (especially ones without kids "forcing" them to watch it) care about bad kids movies.
It's not even meant for adults so I don't even get why watch it
Agreed. I'm sure I'll still see it but I've been indifferent on the movie and a potential sequel all alongNot really interested in a Joker 2. Tis' like Scorsese announcing a sequel to Taxi Driver back then, it wouldn't be necessary.
I mean, do we want animation to be taken seriously as an equal form of cinematic art or do we want to brush away criticism of it because it's "just for kids"? Good kids movies are good movies and bad kids movies are bad movies.Eh I don't get so much why adults (especially ones without kids "forcing" them to watch it) care about bad kids movies.
