alright now that you mention it...should i see it in regular theaters first or go straight to imax for my first viewing(which is in dallas which is 50 minutes away)?...since it is getting close to advance ticket time

Personally, i'd go regular theaters first. IMAX tends to be a bit overwhelming, so I dont like it for first viewings.

Also, it gives a better reason to return for a multiple viewings. People might be like "you wanna see it again, you just saw it yesterday" and you can be like "yeah, but... IMAX!!!".

When I went to go see TDK in Imax,which my was my first ever IMAX showing,I was suprised by how much bigger the screen is than regular theatres.

i know exactly what you guys mean. my recommendation is to watch this in a regular theater first (twice if you can). then go for the IMAX experience. liken this to a new drink you've never tasted before-- take a sip first, mull the taste over, then grab the bottle and take a giant swig t:

Funny, i agree with the whole IMAX experience thing. I definately had sensory overload the first time i sat in one. The visuals are way too distracting if you want to pay attention to details.

I'm going to see it friday night(if no one's guarding the theater). I hope don't have breathing problems like I did with TDK. My body couldn't accept that it finally came out.

If the movie isn't shot in IMAX, then its not a big deal to go see it in one. More or less, IMAX is like watching a movie a foot away from a 60" TV. Its just to big to see whats actually going on. It worked for TDK, but anything else its just kind of a waist. If you get optimal seats, then its not bad, but most of the time its impossible.

alright guys...situation at hand...I live 4 hours away from austin texas...tomorrow they are having a screening ( http://www.myspace.com/blackcurtain )
i have a basketball game at 7:30...but i play limited minutes due to surgery on my knee...now the situation is...skip the game (and disappoint my brother who is the coach) and drive 4 hours to wait another 2 hours to see watchmen and then drive back...or play the game and wait painfully until the release...which one should i do?

well...i just got a phone call saying another person wont be there tomorrow...so if i dont go...they will only have 5 to play 40 minutes of bball...jeez this is a toughy...im leaning towards watchmen...but id feel bad if i didnt go due to him saying "i need ya tomorrow, bro"

You'd be quite a dick if you went... It's a film that will be out in less than a fortnight anyway. If you're on a team then you have responsibilities. Especially if your coach specifically says he needs you.
