That would be epic! Lets hope they don't ruin that in the trailers :oldrazz:

I would love it if they didn't show Superman in the trailers at all but maybe tease a return with some stuff like the dirt moving up on his grave or a blurry flying shot in the sky or an empty casket etc. But it's Hollywood and they seem to love to show all the money shots in the trailers so I'm fully expecting them to ruin it. I am going to try to avoid trailers after the next one, I managed to do it for Suicide Squad and I'm sure that's part of what made it a better experience watching the first time.

I am horrific when it comes to avoiding trailers. If WB manages to not over do it with the money shots I will eat humble pie. I just want maybe a shot of Supe's cape billowing. That would be enough for me!

I'm currently watching BvS UE and I have to say those who said the Doomsday fight gets better the more you watch it you were totally right.

I still can't believe we got the Tronity fighting Doomsdsy, totally ****ing awesome. Add to that we get (a little different take on) the nuke scene from Dark Knight Returns with the zombiefied Superman and it makes this segment even better :woot:

That would rock

What adds to the Smallville fight is how deep into the film it came. There was a lot of build-up. Especially considering we waited several years to see Superman battle on the big screen again.

I hope he returns and punches Steppenwolf's (or Darkseid's if he appears) teeth down his throat :woot:

I think that is how t is going to go down. The JL will be defeated, and suddenly Superman appears and kicks Steppenwolfs ass. At last that's how I hope it goes down.

The Trinity vs Doomsday fight is like a comic book panel come to life. There are so many cool moments during that battle, specially the heat vision off is glorious. The best part for me was WW, she is so freaking Badass in that fight. I still can't believe how easily Zack managed to make her so 'effin cool. :woot:

We sure as hell did haha

I especially love the moment when they're about the square off, Superman has an open fist but then th PE cape flutters and his fist is closed.

Yeah that was epic, honestly no incarnation of Wonder Woman be it comics, animation or TV have ever gotten me to be into her but Zack & Gal's take did. Something just really resonated with me with this version, she was ****ing cool :woot:

Smallville, no contest. The Smallville fight actually has some shape and story to it. The Zod fight, for all its destruction does feel a bit aimless, and the Doomsday fight is a bit too messy. Batman v Superman is too short and too one-sided (even the ultimate version) Superman comes off as a total dumbass, and Batman comes off as a homicidal ******* (and of course the "martha" thing is just ridiculous, it might have worked if it was really well staged but the way the actors did it made it totally bizarre and unbelievable, less believable than a bulletproof man who flies, I totally blame Snyder for that !).

Anyway, the Smallville fight has a lot of elements that make it work brilliantly:

- it happens during the day, so there are no issues with the frame being too dark or shadows, the action is crystal clear.

- as well as Superman, the Kryptonians attack the human soliders (which helps highlight just how powerful they are ) but creates some nice beats in the overall battle (like the " A good death is its own reward" moment).

- the fight has a narrative, Superman starts off getting his ass absolutely handed to him, but as the fight goes on he starts using his powers effectively and holds his own.

- the bad guys have personality (okay Nam EK is a B-grade Hulk) but Faora is super-badass. She's definitely my favorite female evil henchwoman of all time.

- Superman takes a moment to save someone (the chopper gunner)....and gets nailed for it.

-Superman throws big bomb punches, the fight is a real brawl, which highlights that Supes isn't a finesse fighter (pretty much like the comics)

And it has this..... which the ultimate straight-up Superman move (grab bad guy, fly up, deliver a tremendous punch sending bad-guy earthward !).

All in all, it felt like a real comic book Superman battle brought to life. Incredibly satisfying on every level.

All of this! And the aftermath where Superman's motif starts humbly playing and the PJs start resting their weapons. Col. Hardy then says, "This man is not our enemy".

It was perfect.

 that moment was indeed awesome, the fight is great, I especially love when Faora and Nam Ek have Superman pinned to the floor and he unleashes his heat vision in them while screaming. It raises the hairs on my neck every time.

I found it very difficult to vote against that fight. But the DD one just had more moments I loved in the end.

I would love if Supes uses his ice breath in the JL movie.

Also, it's the one fight where we see Superman use a bit of brains, rather than just brute force - he has to use his powers effectively. Reeve's Superman did that in Superman II, and it's great to see it here. Sadly, after this Superman gets really dumb, in terms of using his powers in battle.

And, I totally agree that ending with Col Hardy and the troops is great !

I like Superman v Doomsday, just so many memorable moments for me. I wasn't even impressed with the Smallville fight and thought it was over shadowed by the Superman v Zod fight.
Despite Doomsday being epic and my wanting to praise Zack for bringing a comic book to life almost perfectly; the best thing about the fight was Batman knowing he was so out of his league.

Yea, that was so fantastic! :drl: And (sorry, I'm gonna compare DCEU to MCU :P ) for the same reason I liked AoU where Hawkeye needed help from Quicksilver to survive, in comparison to CW where the film pretends Hawkeye can be in the same battle as Vision or Scarlet Witch or even heavily armoured people like Warmachine or Iron Man, he'd be dead/put out of the way in just a second.

Batman just trying to survive this alien god-like monstrosity just to bring his part of help (kryptonite bullet) when the time is right (DD shackled by WW) was so masterfully done by Snyder and crew! Loved it. :ilv:

Back to the OP's question... It's so hard to say, I rewatched all the Superman fights in DCEU recently and all I have to say is, they are the best CB fights put on the big screen ever.

And where's The glorious Superman vs World Engine fight? Oh man, when Superman gathers all his strength to fly through that white beam to destroy the WE, it's so utterly emotionally epic!

Just the whole Pacific ocean/Metropolis WE battle is a total masterpiece, I cry everytime I watch it, it's so wonderfully put together, it's beyond words!

I didn't even consider the world engine fight, was going for more Superman vs his villains.

Batman vs Superman

Why?
Because it's the smartest of them all.
Batman actually uses his brain with the all "kryptonite bombs".

All the others are destruction for the hell of it.

Superman vs Zod is horrible; Supermand and co. Vs Doomsday is pathetic.
Superman vs Nam Ek and Faora is the second best, it has the best use of powers...but it's weird to have all that much destruction in the main street.
It makes me think of Iron Man 2 last fight (which is far worst).

Rule #1 of any superhero:

> TAKE ANY FIGHT OUT OF CITIES OR WHERE INNOCENT CAN BE HARMED.

Even in the crappy Superman IV, Kal-El takes the fight to the moon.

Zod fight.
All fights are good, except the dumbdy dumb dumb one against Batfool.

I think something from all of them to be honest -

Smallville - for the emotional heft of him defending his own birthplace and his 'real' world introduction

Verses Zod, for the end and the outpouring of grief of what he had just done in order to prevent new world order

Trinity v Doomsday - introduction of them as a team of three - what I'd been waiting for years, biggest grin on my face when the wide shot of the three of them came on screen

BvS - Simply having Batman and Superman meet and be on the screen together but the ONE thing that bugs me about the fight and I adore the film (before anyone plies in) is Superman's 'thinking' and negotiation time before wading in is minimal, he's like 'Bruce, stop ! Please listen'...then F this and launches into Batman, for all the motivation and reasoning and story behind them going against each other, that I cannot understand, Superman would try harder to talk 'him down'.

Pretty much agree with all of this.

I almost want to vote for the Doomsday fight but I'll go with the Smallville fight because I loved the coordination of the Kryptonians & thought Antje Traue specifically sold the hell out of the whole thing.
