13 Shows We Want New Versions Of

I blame Battlestar Galactica for the "dark and gritty" trend

I would love to see a reboot of Airwolf. But less campy than the original. One of my all time favorite shows growing up, but watching it now....some scenes are just painful.

i want a reboot of Dark Angel. that would be awesome. i loved it the first time around and was sad it went down the drain.

maybe they could bring back some of the original cast and put 'em in as cameos too!

A re-do of Profit would be great. Heck, why not just make it a sequel, following Profit 10-15 years on?

summer glau as dark angel...sold
I didn't even like that show and I'm sold. To bad it would end up being her 4th canceled show in a row most likey. 5th if you count Dollhouse next season when she shows up there.

one show i'd like to see a new version of is THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN

I don't think bringing these shows back is a good idea. I think it might work with Buck Rodgers though.

What is "V" mentioned in the article?

Lost in Space should be done. It could be so hot.

"V" was a sci-fi miniseries from '83. It's about a fleet of human-looking aliens who arrive in giant flying saucers, initially promising "We Come in Peace" to us humans. Things seem okay at first, but soon the aliens' true plans (as well as their true reptilian appearances) come through: they plan to rape the earth for its natural resources, and they force earth into a fascist state. Ragtag uprisings and alien-lizard-hybrid births ensue. (Emmerich and Devlin's Independence Day took inspiration from V's massive flying saucers). The miniseries was a big hit, so they remade it as an ongoing TV series which flopped hard.

The old V mini starred a bunch of actors I don't recognize; the new "V" stars Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Elizabeth Mitchell, and others.

I remember a few years back, Little House on the Prarie was done as a miniseries, I think it could've been a pretty decent ongoing series.

Burn Notice is close enough to a MacGuyver reboot, but better.

I would definitely check out a Quantum Leap reboot

so people complain there is nothing original on TV, but want new versions of old tv?? I don't get it

Who cares? As long as its not a reality show, I'm alright with it.

i WOULDN'T Mind Quantum Leap reboot. maybe theycould pick up were they left off. i heard that they were going to do moive about sams daughter leaping around trying to find sam. i wouldn't mind it being moive on the big screen. it could make a good trigoly.

They already did a Quantum Leap reboot. It was called Journeyman, and unfortunately, no one watched it.

^I have never loved any axed-too-soon tv show while it was on as much as I loved "Journeyman"

Why hasn't any Fantastic Four 'toons been good enough to survive? I hope they get it right one of these days.

Because they always end up on terrible net works. The second season of the 90s 4 was great UPN is what ruined it. Worlds greatest heros at first I couldn't stand but I watched the episodes that CN didn't air and I came to really enjoy the show.

the 90's ff was a syndicated show your thinking of UPNs versionof the THE INCREDIBLE HULK
season one was originally intended for syndication thats why the episodes were better but UPN bought the show and when it got a second season their standards &practices had clout and made the change that weakened theshow

Maybe it would've worked if they tried the same kinda fun approach as the original series.... as opposed to being mind-numbingly dull.
