Have you ever been to a psychic or medium? If so, what was your experience like? If not, would you ever go to one?
I just got back from a tarot card reading. It was in a little house in the middle of nowhere along a highway. It was done by a small chubby woman of central Asian background, I'm guessing. She was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans. She took me into a little room and sat in a chair at the end of a small round table and I sat at the chair at the other end. The room was very sparsely furnished, with just a poster explaining the chakras behind her.
She had me shuffle a deck of tarot cards and said while I do it, to think of two questions. I thought of three: How long will I live? Will I be healthy? What will my future employment be like? I put the stack of cards down on the table and she started to lay them out in a circle. She started by saying that the cards dont always differentiate between the past and present, so she may ask me if something happened in the past or recently.
She started with my longevity and health. She says that I'm "meant" to live to my late 80's or early 90's. I will be in good health. She also mentioned that the person I'm with is not my soul mate and that my past relationships have been a cycle of stops and starts. She asked if this made sense and I said yes. I have not met my soul mate yet but will in the next year and it will be a good relationship.
She said that my current life path is the correct one and that I recently changed paths. My previous path was not the right one. She asked if that made sense. I said yes. She I will improve financially in two years and will be successful in the business I am in as a manager. She then asked if my questions were answered and I said yes. She asked if I had any other questions and I said no. I asked if she would read my palm and she said that she could but would have to charge me for the same information she just gave me. She thanked me for coming, I paid her $10 and left. The whole thing took ten or fifteen minutes.
She made some interesting observations but nothing startling. I'm sure
everyone wonders about their health, longevity and finances, especially these days. She didn't pick up on the fact that I'm single. So I'm definitely not with the person I should be with in that regard. Interesting that she mentioned I will live to be about 90, as many of my grandparents and such died around that age. I will graduate in two years, which could explain the financial improvement that she talked about. I'll just have to wait and see about the soul mate. I did change my life course in my early twenties. I changed my college major from education to history. I also studied journalism in my mid 20's briefly. Then again, so what? Many people change their majors in college. How many people have their life plans changed over the course of their lives? Everyone.
So it was kind of entertaining. My curiosity is sated. For ten bucks, it was ok.
