I really like this show. The snide humor gets me everytime. I generally hate sitcoms, but this one is cool. I don't even find the girls notably attractive, but I do like that it has a serial storyline with the business thing, and a few random elements to make it interesting. The diner as the living room is a pretty cool diversion from the typical sitcom. And the workplace as the new social unit has a nice parallelism with modern life.

I can see why everyone wouldn't love it, but honestly, how is this worse than any other sitcom?

On the contrary, I find New Girl utterly mind numbing, but some people love it, because that's their type of humor they do everyday anyway. I think it's kind of cool that sitcoms have developed enough to cater to different senses of humor.

meh, i actually think it's one of the smarter comedies currently on television.

i'd agree. but it doesn't kill the show for me. I'm a sucker for raunchy humor though... and it's refreshing to see shows that arn't afraid to go there.

Why do you people always complain about laugh tracks?

I don't need a laugh track so I can decide when to laugh translates into I'm self conscious about laughing when others laugh, even if they're fake......either that or I'm a pretentious *****e.
