The Dark Knight BOF: Problems with Ledger???

How about we let Nolan/WB decide how much they want to reveal, eh?

Yes, and while we're at it let's just completely not speculate too, right?

I'd LOVE for you to list the things they've actually released to the general public. We've got a one-sheet, a kick-ass teaser, and uh....oh wait. That's it.

It's a testament to SM's marketing team that they release so little but get the biggest buzz out of any other franchise. No less, with the film being a year away. TDK NEEDS to follow this route.

Yes, we have a one sheet and a teaser. But that teaser showed as much as some full trailers do, and it came out about a year before the film's release.

We also have the several character posters that were revealed at Comic-Con, and the footage that was shown there and leaked to the net (which Sony very well knew would happen). Even if the footage didn't leak to the net, we still have full descriptions of everything that was seen in this "second teaser", including everything about Venom.

I'd say that's a lot for a movie a isn't even close to its release.

Yeah. I mean, the trick they pulled.....where NOBDOY figured out it was even a Batman trailer until the end......c'mon, that was awesome.

Showing the Joker in the teaser.....that might be showing too much too soon I think. I mean, I can see it done like Batman's appearance in the teaser. Where we see him, but we can't really see him....so the Joker could be shown LIKE THAT in the teaser.....but not showing too much. I mean, ya gotta save something.

And I agree.....having his maniacal laugh.....it's a MUST.

Indeed. Very original. I loved it.

It has to be teasing -- not too much, but not too little. It has to be enough to excite the audience and that's about it.

Of course.

Damn that laugh.... they gotto get Mark Hamil for a voice over... if ledger can't pull it off ofcourse... it is just NASTY as ****....

You think one quick flash of the Joker is showing too much.

I agree -- one quick, short flash of The Joker wouldn't be a bad idea.

WB needs to promote The Joker as much as possible period..I honestly think BB could of done better if they promoted the Scarecrow more since he was the only mainstream villian in the movie..Now since The Joker is the probably one of the most mainstream villian of all time..they need to promote the hell out of him and that would bring in the money..Just like Venom will help Spidey 3.

Aside from the obvious that Peter is changing because of the symbiote and is having some problems with MJ, what else did it reveal?

Yes, because showing 4 stills completely ruins the movie.

and the footage that was shown there and leaked to the net (which Sony very well knew would happen).
I wouldn't say that. The fact that only ONE video has surfaced, a blurry one at that, and no one else could bring in a clearer version, proves that there was tight security there.

EVERYTHING about Venom? We saw a 2 second glimpse of him. He looked exactly like he's drawn in the comics, from what the reports say. So I ask again, what else do we know?

I'd say that's a lot for a movie a isn't even close to its release.
I'd say it's a smart way to get the buzz going. Pray tell, what do you expect come Comic-Con '07? Do you HONESTLY think WB won't show footage of their tentpole franchise to the fans? It's one of their only shots at giving a sneak peek at the film before its release.

The only thing the teaser revealed was that Peter's costume is black because of some black goo that no one outside the comicbook or cartoon world knows the name of. But you can pretty much guess that from the teaser poster.

Joker as a regular person like that teaster is fine... maybe have a glimpse with the make up... but we need the bigger picture... this movie just ain't about Batman vs Joker...

And I don't care what Jett, or anyone else says. TDK will NOT cross $300 million dollars at the D.O. In fact, I probably won't even put it past $250 million.

I find your lack of faith...distrubing.

Definitely room for improvement... keep up the good work...

I didn't make it...I just thought it had what I wanted to see in a teaser.

I thonk the teaser for BB fit the movie because Batman is very mysterious and lurks in the shadows. Therefore, a quick glimpse suited it very well. The Joker on the other hand, is very flamboyant and creepy. The TDK should reflect this.

They shouldn't blow their load right from the get-go. It's all about the foreplay...
wow.

I don't have some Problems with ledger, he will make a good Job. Nolan know , why he's the perfect Man for the Role.
