I couldn't help but notice that there were discussion threads for nearly every sport and league....with the MLS season just getting started I was wondering if there were any other fans around here besides me. If so what are your thoughts on the upcoming season? Feel free to discuss.

Heh, I just talk up the MLS/U.S. soccer in the Champion's/EPL/etc thread. :woot:

Good game to start the season last week, Rapids and United. Sold out crowd too.

Go Galaxy! :cmad:

Yeah it really was a good game....I can admit that even though my United lost. Oh well it is a long way to go and we'll do better this weekend against KC.

I like that they're big broadcasting thing on ESPN2 is now Thursday night, instead of Saturday afternoon. They rarely showed the games on Saturday once college football started. I mean, I like college football, but I'd much rather watch the MLS over something like WhoCares State vs. Nowheresville U. :down

Okay,I haven't been such a good fan lately but I'm back on the scene. :cmad: :o

So tonight we have FC Dallas @ LA Galaxy.

That was a really good win for FC Dallas last night. To have never won a game in the HDC before, it was nice to see them get that monkey off their back. I am looking forward to a great weekend of MLS. DC vs. KC on Saturday night.

L.A. can play way better than that. I think Donovan needs to be moved to center mid like he is with the national team, and I think Albright is much better at D than on the wing. But he's playing the right, so figure Beckham takes his spot when he gets here.

Eddie begs to differ. :cmad:

Nothing like starting out your season 0-2.

Yeah I have to admit that was a rough night. KC looked fantastic and Eddie Johnson seemed to be unstoppable. If he gets hot that means great things for KC and the US Natl. team. Hey I give props to KC, they kicked our tails. We have a week off, then we will come back and see where we go from here. There is still a long way to go though.

Thursday Night MLS on ESPN2. Tonight we have the New England Revolution @ the Columbus Crew. So what do you think happens tonight? Can the Crew finally score a goal? Will the Crew finally give up a goal? Will the Revs stay hot after their 4-0 win over Toronto? I shouldn't be this excited, but I am.

I like them both but Revolution more so.
I have no cable.

Go Sounders!!

O wait... they're not in MLS. :(

I guess BadgerPhil is already singing the praises of the Wizards, so I don't have to.

Oh **** it, go Wizards!

I'm not getting a game on ESPN2 tonight. :cmad: :csad:

That was a really good game last night. The Crew hit an equalizer late to tie the game at 2-2. I really thought a brawl was going to break out in the first half. Really entertaining game

Four games on tap for this weekend. On Saturday the Houston Dynamo will visit Red Bull New York, the Kansas City Wizards will visit the Chicago Fire, and Real Salt Lake will visit Chivas USA. On Sunday the Colorado Rapids will visit FC Dallas.

Houston and New York are both coming off their first wins of the season. Houston slipped past Chivas USA last week 1-0, while NY beat a worn out FC Dallas team 3-0. Can the defending MLS Cup champs pull of a win in the Meadowlands or will the Bulls prove that they are a real conteder for this years Cup?

Kansas City is coming of an impressive win last Saturday night in DC. Chicago is coming off of a 1-1 tie against Colorado. Can the Wizards continue their hot start against the Fire?

Real Salt Lake are coming off their second straight draw when they visit Chivas USA on Saturday night. Chivas are coming in with a record of 1-1-0, following a 1-0 loss last week to Houston. Can Real finally get a "W" on the board? Can Chivas bounce back at home?

On Sunday the Colorado Rapids will head to Texas to take on FC Dallas. The Hoops had a busy week last week playing twice in a four day span first beating LA 2-1, then flying cross country and falling to NY 3-0. Colorado is coming in with a record of 1-0-1 coming off a draw with Chicago.

The LA Galaxy and DC United have the week off.

Week 3 of MLS is has already begun. What will happen? We will see.

Good weekend of MLS action. Red Bull NY defeated the Houston Dynamo 1-0 on Saturday. The Chicago Fire were 2-1 winners over the Kansas City Wizards. Chivas USA dominated Real Salt Lake 4-0. On Sunday, FC Dallas easily defeated Colorado 3-1.
