It is only March/April, but in a couple of months San Diego Comic Con will be upon us. Anyone who went last year knows it was a total zoo, but I still managed to have a great time, meet some people, and get totally hammered 3 nights out of the 5 I was there. Anyone plan on going this year?

I'd really like to but it's during the busiest month in my industry and we have a gigantic trade show of our own to go to.

I would like to go to one but for that I would have to travel many miles overseas.

I'd kill to go and be apart of it :) With about 5 friends and just go ape ****

I wish.

I'm going to NYCC in a few weeks though.

I want to go to the NYCC.

In case I go, no one come up to me. I don't do autographs. :o

as I am in CT, its a short trip to NY but I have no interest in going this year.....san diego itself is a nice enough city for a vacation its also on the opposite side of the country from CT....

WHY IS COMIC CON OVER PASSOVER?

Needless to say, we're not happy about the Passover situation either. We are very sorry and certainly intended no disrespect. The unfortunate reality is that these were the dates we were given. While this is not an excuse, we took the current dates because we thought they were the best dates we had to pick from, which is to say the only dates we had to pick from. Our other choice was to be in February in space that we have already outgrown. We made the "best" of the poor choices we had. We completely regret that they fall on Passover, but I hope it is accepted that this is not out of a lack of respect or concern to the fans, creators, exhibitors or anyone else associated with the con. This decision was not made out of malice towards the people of the Jewish faith.

:(

I could see how that could be inconvenient.....

This the only cool Gentle Giant LTD Exclusive I saw.

Indian Jones Artifact Crate Paperweight (3 collections) $35 each
Each crate features a detachable magnetic whip and fedora, a removable crate lid and rubber snakes.
Collections are randomly packed. Every crate will contain one of three artifact collections. Collection 1 includes: the Golden Idol and Temple Tablet. Collection 2 includes: the Sankara Stones and Holy Grail Cup. Collection 3 includes the Krystal Skull.

I intended to go this year... but I'll be in Korea. I was really looking forward to all the hype from Iron Man, Hulk and TDK. I'm sure it will be crazy and if you go I hope you have a blast in my San Diego city.

I'm honestly not that interested in comics anymore to warrant such a trip.

anything i'd like would be on teh net pretty soon afterwards so....

by time SDCC rolls around Iron Man would have already been released and TDK is released that Friday...so it should be interesting...

There will probably be a good amount of stuff on Watchmen, Wolverine, TF2 and G.I. Joe.

I'm sure that TDK being released that Friday will make SDCC even more of an event than before.

I was even going to try and make T-Shirts for some people here who wanted to meet up. I know its nerdy... but hey, you're gonna be at one of the world's largest gatherings of geeks/nerds.

"Geeks are inheriting the earth."
Next year looks better for me, too many changes this year and I'll go broke if I go this year.

So I went for the first time last year, just Friday. This year, I'm thinking I'll be there Friday and Saturday at least. Just trying to decide whether or not I want to stay there with some friends or just drive back home.

Damn, no Christopher Sabat or Sean Schemmel.

I've never been. I'd have to travel across the county, when the furthest places I've been are the three states that surround mine.

Can't wait to attend this year.

I'm betting it's going to be wild considering The Dark Knight release surrounding it.

I will be going all 5 days, including preview night. Last year, I got my Zombie Colonel America book, and spent $800 on Toys and Books and many meals and drinks at Dick's Last Resort. I made some great contacts, made friends with the executive Producer of Transformers and X-Men, and got a contact high from shaking Robert Downey Jr's hand

I should be going. Trying to book my hotel now but it's getting pretty tight. When I verify everything I expect some info from Empress Dew'm. Ya can't turn down drinks at Dick's with Aunt Petunia. :D
