I don't think there's one by the convention center, but there's probably one somewhere nearby. There's also a mall thats walking distance away WITH a comic shop

Well I went to preview night last night. This was my first time at Comic-Con. I had a blast! There were so many things to see, I pretty much ran out of time.
I got to meet Mr. Ferigno (the TV Hulk), that was nice. He was asking for $20 for a picture with him. I might had done it had he dressed up like the Hulk.
There were of course a large number of comic book dealers. I picked up some books that I was missing (about 6), I pretty much have the ones I want (or willing to spend the money on).
There were a lot of action figures, but most were $25 or higher. I also saw a Playboy (July issue) that was on sale for $25. That's ridiculous, especially since the pictures are on the internet for free.
The thing that caught my eye the most were the Alex Ross paintings, sure I'd seen them in comic books before, but not as a large painting. Wow, really cool, but also very expensive.
For those that have been to this convention before, do any of the vendors drop their prices on Sunday afternoon (hoping for last minute sales)?
Oh, I saw that Venom statute, it looks better in person (you could see the drool on Venoms mouth). The best one I've seen is a large statue of King Kong fighting a V-Rex. Maybe someone can post a picture of it.

I watched it. (the 1st hour before Monk anyway) It was basically AOTS with cos players everywhere. They didn't give much news.

I watched Monk as well.

I taped the Comic-Con in it's midnight rereun.

It was...cool....at least it made me feel like I wasn't missing out on too much. But when I'm honest with myself I'd be totally out of place at the Comic-Con.
