Twilight winning over The Dark Knight for best picture?

Yeah, but no...

I was pissed enough about TDK getting shafted, but Hannah Motnana over Winslet? What the hell is wrong with people?

It's voted by the MTV viewers. Hannah Montana and Twilight obviously play to that demographic, so it should be of no surprise why they'd win.

What I don't get is people constantly getting mad over it, year after year. It's quite clear these same people aren't even in the same crowd as the MTV viewers, so why get upset?

I'm more pissed at the fact that being 20, I stilla ssociate with plent yof people in said demographic, and tons of them love TDK, and some hate Twilight, and some love Twilight. The point I'm saying is that even the demographic should have known what was the superior movie. Also, Hannah Montana fans anywhere above the age of 13 is just sad.

Usually the MTV movie awards are pretty meh but this years was absolutely horrible, not really even that funny with the skits.

I was surprised since they had Andy Samberg hosting.

Above all, I hate the shadow of doubt cast over the movies success because of Ledger's death. Like, yeah, sure the movie would'nt have made as much if he didnt die, but I hate that people are saying all of his award nominations are because of his death... it's like, go **** yourself, he's getting all the noms because he gave the performance of his whole damn career and everyone ****ing loved it. Damn...

The whole network's made of failure at this point, so that shouldn't be a surprise.

Before the Internet and 500+ digital cable packages, MTV was king.
Now, it's Vh1, Vh1 Classic, MTV2, MTV Tres, Fuse, the Music On Demand channels, and of course the Internet. So they try to stick to the reality television gimmick, but even then they fail while the only decent reality TV comes from network TV. It's only natural that the station progresses further towards failure.

In a night otherwise given over to Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and all things Twilight, the high-flying appearance of a winged Sacha Baron Cohen created real tension as his flying harness dropped his thong-clad Bruno right into the lap of Eminem, who didn't seem to enjoy the visit.

A source tells our E! colleague Marc Malkin that the rapper was aware that Bruno would be falling on him&#8212;but not while wearing a butt-baring thong. And though Eminem stormed out of the Gibson Amphitheater, the hip-hop star didn't leave; he hung out in his trailer until the show was nearly done.

Yep. It's also the only awards show where Sacha Baron Cohen can play any of his outrageous characters, like he did last night. Even Cohen himself knows that he can't get away with that stuff at the more high toned award shows, which is why you will see him playing himself at like the Golden Globes and the Oscars. That's what separates him from someone like Russell Brand (that and he's ten times funnier then Brand).
