Wow. I only got five picks right. There's no WAY I could have predicted what's happened in this draft thus far. The Colts are going back to feeding Manning more weapons while their defense continues to suffer and the Lions STILL do not have an OT. I'll post full thoughts on the first round later but.....Wow.

I know Pettigrew is a great player, but they needed an OT and some defense. Should have taken Oher.

Oher is red-flagged all over the place due to his learning disability and plays the same side as Gosder Cherilus. I'd rather have Britton or Beatty ahead of him.

And now they just took Delmas when they could have had Malauga or Larunitis or Eben Britton/William Beatty.

I like Delmas and think the Bob Sanders comparisons are apt, but I thought we could get him at the top of 3.

I know Mauluaga and Laurinitis are "big names" but there's a reason these guys are falling. They are media darlings who the press has tried to make out to be Polamalu and Chris Spielman.

The fact that the Patriots who have a HUGE need at LB just passed on them as well should tell you something.

Again, I like Brown as a player, but the Panthers just got ripped off. They couldn't just keep this the 59th pick in exchange for that 1st next year?

Eh, I don't mind their pick given that they do this kind of thing every year, and they always manage to make up for it. Think about it, with this O-Line, we STILL made it to a sixth Super Bowl victory. They always take draftees based more on character and sheer skill compared to the other available players, rather than a need basis.

It's worked so far, I've got faith that it'll work this time too.

The fact that the Lions passed on Oher for a TE speaks volumes.

The Vikings (my Vikings) took a huge chance on Harvin considering his recent performance. Randy Moss was a problem child as well, though.

Very true post. The Steelers already face the Ravens twice a year, and quietly, the Bengals are building a good young defense, and it just got some attitude with Rey Maulaluga. It's more workman like than the Ravens and the Steelers with there blitz happy schemes, but still.

I completely agree that they should have taken an O-Lineman. My jaw literally dropped when they didn't. That said, Ben is the toughest QB in the league, and the Steelers have that uncanny knack of getting the best results in the worst situations.

I'm hoping they pick up Max Unger, still. I also wish they took an O-Lineman first so they could have addressed their Cornerback needs.
