Packers or Tebow?

Are you serious ESPN?

Oh God. Yeah, I left Sportscenter on and I swear to God that Steve Young had too many concussions. The Packers are the bigger story. Rodgers is, you know, an ACTUAL quarterback that, you know, THROWS the ball. He may break Marino's single season passing record. The team may go undefeated. The Tebow thing is just kind of a flavor of the week or, in this case, flavor of the last month and a half.

Once Tebow blows it and doesn't make a "comeback" they'll stop talking about it.

It's disturbing at this point. You've got rookie QBs like Newton, Dalton, and Ponder and veteran QBs like Rodgers, Manning, and Brees having a spectacular season. Instead, ESPN is focusing on Tebow. A low-tier QB who is benefiting from miscues and great players/playmakers, like McGahee and Dawkins.

It's gone too far. The Tebow Teabagging needs to stop.

I don't know the one guys name on the one panel. He sits next to Chris Carter, haha. He had the largest grasp on it. I agree with him. Tebow is a great athlete and he does bring a very positive influence to the team, which is great. However, he's got a lot of other playmakers on his team that HELP him get into the position to make those wins. Like his defense stripping the ball. And then his kicker making HUGE field goals to get the tie and then the win.

If Prater doesn't make that 59 yard field goal then the whole Tebow thing is basically all over.

But I agree with you. We have three quarterbacks: Rodgers, Brees, and Brady...and possibly Eli Manning all on a decent pace to pass up Marino's record and then you have the Packers running an undefeated season and possibly could have it set up to go completely undefeated to the Super Bowl the way they are playing...but Tim Tebow is suddenly the greatest thing in the world.

I kind of feel bad for Tebow because the media is really building him up and when he doesn't pull off his "miracle" comebacks things will really backfire. :oldrazz:

Exactly. It's been a team effort to keep Tebow's career alive. How it's gone this far is beyond me. The Bears, Chargers, Chiefs, and Dolphins beat themselves. It had nothing to do with Tebow Time.

Dawkins, The O-Line, Bailey, McGahee, Prater, etc have been overlooked when coming to the victories. It's Tebow who gets all the glory.

I also love the fact that most Tebow supporters state that Tebow doesn't make mistakes. Okay... but Tim doesn't throw the ball more than 15 times in a game and most of his completions come via short or underneath routes -- some of which go for 25-40 yards because of horrid tackling and coverage.

He was 21 of 40 Sunday.....passing. Over 200 yards passed.

I wanna see Tebow run the option up Green Bay's *beeeeeep*.

And they played EVERY one of those teams at their weakest...

What you won't hear ESPN say is that Tebow went neck and neck with Hanie inside of regulation...

I want to see Tramon and Woodson feast on those wobbly pies he throws...

The broncos defense is pretty much keeping denver in the game and hoping that in the final 5 minutes of the game tebow can do something. Tebow for some reason comes through in the 4th quarter against ****e teams. I just dont understand how teams face them and cant produce anytihng all game, its like a live action disney movie.

Tim Tebow is the most talked about White Bronco since the OJ Simpson chase.

So the NFL gave Harrison a 1 game suspension. That's actually not bad considering they were mulling over a 2 game rip.

At one point Tebow also missed on something like 11 straight passes, many that weren't even close.

Tebow and Hanie tried to set passing football back 50 years.

Goose was all over himself about smash mouth football. B*****! It was two teams that scrapped the forward pass from their playbooks.

It's a ridiculous suspension imo, but I'm sure Harrison is going to have something to say about it and Goodell.

Now when you say it's 'ridiculous', which way ya leaning on this issue?

21/40 is not very good, haha. That means he only completed half his passes just about. And I can't remember who they played but I remember one game, which Tebow played the ENTIRE game, he only went 2/6 in passing. That is one of the saddest QB stats I've ever seen. He's a running back trying desperately to be a QB. :oldrazz:

Didn't you hear? Tebow's stats don't matter. So long as he's winning, his passing skills cannot be called into question. :o

Ugh, the nerve of ESPN. Several analysts and personalities like Skip Bayless stated that they would pick Tebow over Rodgers (apparently because Tebow has heart and knows how to win) and send him to the Pro Bowl.

I feel terrible for those who are sane at ESPN HQ.

Meh, Skip's been insane for some time now & he's been driving the Tebow / Vince Young bandwagon for years now.

They should put strait jacket on Skip for actually picking Tebow over Rodgers on ESPN.

To be fair, only one QB has taken a team that was in last place in their division to the top.

Yeah, I love the "Tebow doesn't make mistakes" line. I dunno, I would count NOT COMPLETING A PASS FOR TWO QUARTERS as a mistake. Funny, I never heard too many people defending Donovan McNabb when he was throwing balls in the grass on every other down.

And yeah.. the Packers/Tebow "What's the bigger story?" thing is just insulting to the entire league. You have a team that might go undefeated (Packers), a team whose offense is INSANE (Saints), a team that went from sh** to the playoffs (49ers), a three way battle in the league's toughest division (Ravens, Steelers and Bengals) and a team that made the playoffs for the first time in its history (Texans).

But NONE of that is anywhere near as fascinating as a guy who can't complete a pass until the fourth quarter who has capitalized on playing teams that happen to be in disarray.

Honestly, I think people take the Tebow hype too personally. Yeah, the media plays up his "talent," because he has a large, devoted fan base to whom they can pander. But when it comes down to it, he is fun to watch and his team is winning (and they are the ones who should be insulted, his running game and defense bail him out week after week but they get no credit).

Skip would have to be a complete idiot if he actually believed that ... What a minute, never mind.
