How poor is the NFL QB depth that Ryan Tannehill is a possible first round pick?

Not only a 1st round pick, but I've heard him mentioned as a possible top ten pick. A lot depends on what happens with the Rams' pick, but still ...

Is it just me, or does Matt Flynn look like the lovechild of Matt Damon and Hector Hammond?

Yeah, so did I. Then I was like, oh, it's some other player who has a similar name.

The Texans hit on Mario Williams big time in the draft several years ago. While Reggie Bush hasn't lived up to his potential.

Even though I could bet my life that it's not going to happen, I'd love to see Peyton Manning on the Texans. I am actually rooting for him to play on the Jets. The Jets with a competent QB can be dangerous, least of all a healthy Peyton Manning. Pats/Jets games are all going to be playoff caliber. To be honest, though......I would prefer he go to a NFC game. He's less of a threat over there.

Yea, if Peyton goes to the NFC, it'll be a much tougher road to another Super Bowl.

And a road that won't include the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But won't you miss Mark Sanchez throwing balls into the dirt?

Getting Manning would solve 1 of the many problems of the Jets. They don't have a running back, another WR, safeties. They are at the cap limit already, even if they restructure to get Manning, how can they fix their other problems?

Meanwhile in SF, Alex Smith and the 49ers can agree on a length of and $$$ of a contract.

A long contract is what Smith probably wants but you don't give him a contract like that after only one good year.

Isnt he still living out his first contract?

NFL Network now says Broncos are interested in Peyton Manning. If they get Manning they can put Tebow at another position.

Reports are starting to come in that the Broncos plan to aggressively try to get Manning so that they can nip Tebowmania in the bud.

I doubt Peyton would want to be the guy to piss off Tebowmania would he ? Not the best start for him. To come to a new team & then piss off the fan base. He would be booed at home games

I know I've never posted on the Sports boards here, but I'm a longtime Dolphins fan. I keep hearing how gaga the owner is for Manning, salivating having Manning, Marshall, and possibly getting Reggie Wayne, not to mention Reggie Bush. Am I crazy to think the Phish would be better suited to get Matt Flynn? With Manning, we'll be in the same boat in a year or two, if he lasts that long.

Peyton Manning will be visiting three teams. Denver today & then Arizona & then last Miami. He is supposedly going to make his decision on Tuesday

If Manning goes to Denver, does that mean Tebowing will be replaced by Manninging?

If Manning went to Denver & Tebow became back up. Tebow would be Tebowing at games himself wishing that Manning gets hurt

It is actually fairly brilliant on Elway's part. Even Tebowmaniacs can't argue against starting the possible best quarterback of all time over Tebow. Tebow himself will have no grounds to stand on to demand to remain at quarterback if Manning is in the mix. He will have to choose between being moved to fullback or riding the bench as a second stringer. Give Manning a three year contract, let him ride out his career in Denver and then move into a new era with a new quarterback of Elway's choosing (as Tebow will by that point have either left Denver or moved to a different position).

If Tebow is replaced by Manning, there will be a new Tebowing: towel over the face. :hehe:

I think Manning is the one QB they could bring into Denver that Tebow fans wouldn't be able to say boo about.

Me too, which is what makes it such a smart move.
