It sure seems players are made out of fine china or crystal at the rate they're getting injured. The 49ers have 3-4 guys already on the injured list, which is not encouraging.

Anybody going to any games this season? Just got tickets for the Carolina/Buffalo game to watch my Panthers play!

I got tickets for the Panthers/Dolphins game in November. This'll be the first time I watch The Panthers in the flesh. Granted they make the trip to Tampa every year but I despise that city the same way Homer Simpson hates New York. I refuse to step foot in that godforsaken cesspool.

This might sound alittle insensitive of me but I rather it be my opponents that suffer than my team (through the injury bug). We had 19 players on IR last season, and 16 the season before that. Carolina could use alittle luck this year, especially with our O-Line and secondary in dismay.

KC's QB called Alex Smith the best quarterback in the NFL. :lmao:

I tried to get tickets to see Broncos vs. Giants. As I figured it would be the only time I ever got to see Peyton Manning actually play. But ticket prices are ridiculous.

I'd like to go to my first NFL game this year and was looking at Bengal tickets yesterday. They're expensive, or at least more expensive than I want to pay, and the ones I actually CAN afford (for two of us) are bad seats. I makes sitting at home and watching it on the television with friends a better option.

His OC did.

I think if the Chiefs can finish with 5 or 6 wins which is better than the 2 they had last year, this year will be a success and maybe they can add more parts next year.

You should totally go though if you get the chance. Peyton is the best player to see in person, even if you have crappy seats. You can spot his massive head from a mile away.

I spent the most ever for tickets last year because 1 out of 4 years our teams plays each other. And I paid $250 each. And I was on the main section of Met Life.

$250 for the Broncos puts me in the 300s at best.

Really can't stomach paying more than that.

Yeah, I know, I was just joking. KC will be better than they were last year, but that's not saying much. I think you're right - 5 or 6 wins sounds accurate. Then again, that division also has the Raider and the Chargers, who likely won't be very good so perhaps KC can get up to about 8 or 9 wins. I trust Andy Reid more than the coaches in San Diego and Oakland.

IMO, football is one of the few sports better viewed from home. Basketball, hockey and baseball are all better in person. Football is not.

Seeing a LIVE hockey game is what really hooked me on it

I have to agree. Basketball LIVE > Football LIVE.

Less drunk morons, view is superior no matter where you're seated and the dancers are hotter.

I like all equally. I just think of it as an experience going since it's usually a once a year thing. I rotate basketball and hockey on off years.

Hey Immortalfire, the Falcons "Why Your Team Sucks" is up today. It's a great read. :D

My favorite quote (referring to Arthur Blank):

"You 1930s movie villain-looking motherf**ker. I bet Blank spends his free time tying damsels to railroad tracks."

I don't like the idea of hanging out with a bunch of obnoxious drunks. That's a major hesitation for my going to a football game. I went to a Reds game earlier this year and there were two drunk guys a few rows behind us acting as drunk guys do. It nearly ruined the whole experience for me.

For the record... I can't stand being around drunk people.

Well, he is from New York..and has a mustache

It's only a matter of time before tailgating is banned across the league.

I'd rather watch a football game at home, but sometimes it's nice to go and watch your favorite players.

Damn. I paid less than that to go to the NFC Championship game this past year.

I disagree, but I know a lot of people that would agree with you.

To me, there's nothing like going to an NFL game.

Going to a NFL game is definitely an experience. It's something everyone should do at least once. With that said, it's so much better watching it on tv. The coverage is just too good. That's only the NFL, though.

Basketball, hockey, and baseball are so much better live. It's not even a contest.

I miss going to hockey games :(

Baseball is probably my pick as 2nd best live.

Baseball is great live because of everything other than baseball. [/Miami Sports fan]

Baseball is probably the worst sport to watch live. It's easy to lose focus watching it on TV as it is.
