“ With a stellar cast in place for this to be 7th installment in the X-Men film series, and with the popular and acclaimed Days of Future Past comic book storyline being played on the big screen and most importantly with the return of Bryan Singer to the directing helm, this film is shaping up to be one of the biggest and best comic book movies ever made. These are the reasons why this movie has the potential to be the best and most successful film of the 2014 filming year.

Most Anticipated?

I think so!:woot:

I love xmen with all my heart, but Spider-Man and Hobbit can pull off big numbers

It's MY most anticipated movie of '14 (this and Godzilla), but it'll lose financially to TASM2 and definitely the Hobbit.

Oh yeah, no doubt it's MY most anticipated movie, (I still can't believe this movie is happening)

1) DOFP
2) TAS2
3) Interstellar

The Hobbit will make more money, sadly, but it tells you something that WB moved The Hobbit from the same release date as DOFP :) It's all about the little victories in life

I tried to find the article and realized its just an imdb list from one user. :|

the first post made it seem like it was from a well known site/reporter...

It looks like DOFP has nice chance to be 2014 most anticipated movie.
In my country at movie forum we can sign movie we want to watch.

Sin City 2 - 11.465
Hobbit 2 - 11.016
DOFP - 9.107
300: Rise - 8.124
CA2: WS - 6.296

My 2nd most antisipated movie. Spidey will make more money simply because it's a spider-man movie...

for me x-men is my most anticipated movie of 2014

2013 most anticipated is Hunger Games:Catching Fire

It's close but if I had to rank for my most anticipated...

Sin City 2
Guardians Of The Galaxy
Days Of Future Past

Really looking forward to those three the most. The order can change when footage arrives.

Yeah it's my most anticipated movie. The fact that it has the first class cast again, it's Bryan Singer's first X-Men since X2, almost the entire original cast is returning, it's a time travel movie, and the freakin' sentinels are in it! My god I wish it was coming out the day after the Wolverine!!!

My top 10 most anticipated films for 2014
1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (best ongoing movie series of FOX after X-Men)
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
5. Resident Evil 6
6. Guardians of the Galaxy (I can't wait to see how will see this perform at the box-office LOL)
7. Maleficent
8. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 1
9. Transformers 4
10. Night at the Museum 3

The last post in this thread should have a closing quote, just to make things epic.

Spiderman is awesomely famous but i don't see how it will make more than X-men Dofp. X-men Dofp shouldn't make less than $900million. Its star power is just insane.

I don't know about that. No X-Men film has earned more than $459 million, and they don't have the same popularity as Spider-Man. I can see DOFP earning from $400-$700 million tops. Depends on the trailers and the amount of hype the movie gets, so we'll see.

You could say the same thing to Iron Man and The Avengers five years ago.

I do think with the right marketing and the right ingredients, X-Men could be as huge as Spider-Man. Who knows if they had those bright and catchy costumes and Sentinels from the 90s, the videogames and the cartoons back in 2000 with the 1st film, this franchise could have been huge right from the beginning.

I honestly don't think X-Men the film franchise will ever be as big as Spider-Man. Spider-Man is family friendly and yet can still give off an appropiate degree of seriousness when needed. The X-Flicks are just too adult and dark in tone to ever really compete with Spider-Man, now if Fox had created a more faithful adaption of the X-Men we could talk but as it stands the muted colors and dark serious tone kind of limit the X-Flicks audience however I do feel X-Men First Class was a step toward a more universal direction.

But make no mistake this film will be HUGE, but so will Spider-Man and Hunger Games.

Exactly psylockolussus.

The first trailer needs to show how big the scale is. They need to show a lot of mutants dying to show how big of a deal this movie is.
