Nah you don't have to seen Mad Max as the good thing about those films is they're all standalone entries. That said I would recommend seeing the second one, The Road Warrior.
I'm excited for Batman/Superman, Star Wars, Bond and The Avengers but I've been waiting over 10 years dammit for Fury Road!![]()
Seventh Son? Did this get pushed back then? I thought it had a decent reel at SDCC and was supposed to come out next year?
It's been pushed back several times. Originally, it was supposed to debut February 15 -- then WB pushed it to October 18th. They then pushed it to the doldrums of January 14th.
When WB and Legendary officially called it quits, Legendary took The Seventh Son with them (they 100% financed). That's when Uni scheduled it for February 6, 2015.
And the movie is completed and received its PG-13 rating last week. They're keeping it on the shelf for over a year.
Thanks. I'll check it out.I agree that you should at least see The Road Warrior. Mad Max 1 is actually very understated. I love slow movies, but dare I say it was too slow. I don't think you need to see the first one though it's interesting to see the evolution of the series. The first one had grassy knolls while the other movies had the iconic wastelands that have influenced so many movies and video games.
Jeez, seeing the whole line-up like that...crazy year. I still think my most anticipated right now is Age of Ultron, but I'm also uber-psyched about Star Wars: Episode VII, Mockingjay: Part 2, Mad Max, Ant-Man, Mission: Impossible 5, Tomorrowland and Jurassic World.
I'm worry about Star Wars; I hope they aren't trying to rush it for 2015 release.
After re-watching The Terminator series, I'm looking forward to Terminator: Genesis.
I liked what Alan Taylor did with Thor TDW, so I'll be watching the development of his Terminator. Did you like TDW?
I thought they would have pushed it back to 2016.
Did you missed the big news in early November?
That it's coming out December 18th, 2015? No, I didn't miss that. I was simply implying that I thought they would have pushed it back to 2016 so the movie wasn't rushed. Kennedy and the creative team wanted to delay the movie, but I think that was before the announcement of the release date.
Man I'm going to have to be so picky come 2015, too many big budget movies, I won't be able to afford to see a lot of them.
