With 24 most likely ending with 8 seasons, things are getting a little cliche, alot of the same things are happening, such as someone alwyas killing a suspect who has information, and Terrorist attacks always hitting in Los Angeles and alot of the chracters we loved have died.

I think it should happen and should take place in another American City, I was thinking New York City, but that would be a sensitive city, I dont no where it should take place, but it should follow the 24 style of real time with new cast, new situations fighting terrorist attacks in another area of the US, or maybe in Britain?? The show is very popular in England I hear.....

So what do you think of a 24 spin off series....?

no spin-offs. the show has just had its best season ever, completely unpredictable (with only a couple of episodes not up to par) and with a cliffhanger that promises to change the dynamics of the show. there are talks about having part of this season take place in New York, London and/or Washington. the best is yet to come...

what like CSI????
24:Miami
24:New York
24:Baghdad

it's going to get a spin off,all sucesfull shows where its possible, they will do it.

Especailly after the movie comes out, if 24, the movie does good BO, a spin off will happen. Becuae alot of people will hear of 24 for the first time when they watch the movie, they will need to cater to the new fans of the series by making a new one.

Like Marvels Ultimate Line of Comics, well sort of, barely but you get what i mean...?

No spin-offs, 24 is one of a kind, sure some plot points are repeated, but how is putting it in a new city going to solve that?

ok fine maybe it wont solve that but it's going to happen do you think CSI or any of those other shows need them...for 24 it actually makes sense to get a spin off

im just saying a change of scenery would be interesting and that America does not always depend on CTU LA to save its a$$.

Isnt 24 supposed to be turning into a Movie Series once the Show ends

Well NBC had 4 Law&Order shows and CBS' two spinoffs have helped make the network the most watched. Fox has some hits and I'm actually surprised that there aren't any rumors of a spinoff. There was supposed to be a original direct to DVD real time format movie from the creators that would last eight hours; don't know what happened to that.

A dream spinoff would've had Tony leave LA and move to Washington DC or Houston or somewhere else on the west coast. Without A Trace and CSI:NY both film in LA, but fly out to shoot key scenes in NYC a few times a season.

If Fox wanted to do a spinoff they could have Jack Bauer's "24" air from Jan-May and "CTU:Miami" air from late August to just before Xmas. With a few more 2 hour nights. An entire season of 24 takes 10 months from pre to post-production. It would be cool if crossover episodes happened; who wouldn't want more Jack Bauer? Or even have Mandy show up to cause trouble. Might be hard having the President involved with both shows, but it would make the 24 world larger and perhaps even more enjoyable. It would be similar to ST:TNG and ST: DS9. Minor events in one season could lead to bigger events to another series.

The original 24 creators have left the showrunner duties up to Howard Gordon; they would probably have to start a spinoff.

CSI and Law & Order are easier because they aren't superserialized people can watch an episode whenever they want and wouldn't be completely lost, plus those networks have 3 hours of primetime a night instead of Fox's 2. Also, hate to brake it to you Slinger, but Tony died during this season of 24.

24: Norfolk
A terrorist cell takes control of the largest naval base in the U.S. and are threatening to detonate the Nuclear reactors of the Aircraft Carriers and subs.
The big climactic end would be Jack and the terrorist leader fighting on top of the Crane in the Newport News Shipbuilding.

I doubt I'd bother watching anything 24-related that didn't have Jack Bauer in it. Plus, the concept's pretty much only good for one show, in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't want a Law & Order-style onslaught of shows that all take place over one day.

ACTUALLY! that's not a bad Idea.
There are two shows, that take place at exactly the same time, on the same day.
One airs on Mondays, the other on Tuesday at the same time.
There are two main characters.
One on the West coast, another on the East.
A national crisis begins and we view it through these characters eyes, and we see events unfold at the same time, but through two peoples lives that live thousands of miles apart.

168. each ep. takes place over a week.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I read the thread title. It would be cool to see things like the same phone conversations on both shows when one character of one show calls another character of the other show on the same hour.

Yeah, I just don't see myself being interested in the concept being used more than once. The concept's already worn thin after so many seasons of 24. Jack and David Palmer were the main reasons I kept watching.

and David Palmer is gone and so are other characters

why not have a spin off and fall in love with others...??

Why do all the Terrorist attacks in the US revolve around Los Angeles????

Plot contrivance. Every show has them, so it's best to just accept them and move on. Besides, there's no reason that 24 itself has to stay in LA. Isn't part of next season supposed to take place in China?

24 does not work without Jack Bauer or Tony Almeida. :down

I know I watched the fifth season. I just stated that if 24 were to have a spinoff, the perfect one would have had Tony as the star. But now that isn't possible. We could settle for Curtis or Agent Baker.

As I suggested the spinoff could air in 24's timeslot in the fall and the original would air there in winter.

As little as I'd like a second 24 series at all, I'd definitely not like to see another 24 series that follows yet another agent as the protagonist. Two reasons: 1) 24's already doing it with Jack, and 2) no way in hell any other agent's gonna be as interesting as Jack without detracting from Jack's own badassery. If they absolutely had to do another 24 series, I'd like them to follow a civilian and maybe play more with the political intrigue side of things. DB Woodside could probably carry a show as Wayne Palmer, especially with Aaron at his side. I'd probably watch that.

Well, that'll be put to the test next season. ;)

I just read 24, the movie somewhere in this thread. That sounds like an even worse idea than a spinoff (unless the movie is 24 hours long, I don't see how it could possibly work)

a 24 movie wouldnt be a bad idea, wouldnt you want to see a prequel movie about Operation Nightfall (where Jack and a group of people are sent to kill Victor Dresen).

That would be a cool movie...

In your opinion it wouldnt work....

but in the minds of the shows cast and crew and fans of the show....

it can work!
