Allen Hughes (“Dead Presidents,” “Book of Eli,” “Menace II Society”) directed and served as an executive producer on the pilot.

I hope this works out better for Terry than 666 Park Avenue did. Can't wait to see a trailer.

I'd say it does. Typically pretty hard for a series lead to go guest-star in another show.

I'm sure this had a different log line when it was first announced. At any rate it soiund promising and O'Quinn is a huge plus, perfect role for him.

Can't find which day though. Have a bad feeling this may get stuck on Fridays since I don't many other openings in Fox's midseason schedule or it'll replace any of their fall-season dramas that fails.

Edit: Looks like they may hold it until summer and pair it with the 24 revival.

This looks badass, RZA is right, the action does look movie caliber. I'm also glad to see the story of the Ryan character being a plant has been kept, it is the neat part of the hook.

This show has made RZA more awesome than he already is.

I like what I see so far in the trailer, although the part about Ramon Rodriguez' character being connected to the drug kingpin seems very similar to Fox's failed Mob Doctor. Hope they go a different route with that connection.

If Fox does pair it with 24, then I could see it succeeding. It'd bring in 24's original fans to possibly tune in and both shows seem to complement one another with their similar tones and action scale.

The lead character having a connection to a crime lord isn't what was the problem with Mob Doctor, though. The show being a complete bore and having an uninteresting lead was the problem.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Catherine Dent (The Shield) will recur on Gang Related, Fox’s new midseason cop drama. Gang Related centers on Ryan Lopez (Charlie’s Angels‘ Ramon Rodriguez), a rising star in Los Angeles’ elite Gang Task Force who once belonged to a powerful Latino gang. Dent joins as District Attorney Ellis, the straight-talking but likeable boss of Shantel VanSanten’s Jessica. What’s more, she’s not a fan of Jessica’s father, played by Terry O’Quinn (Lost). Gang Related bows this spring.

No one saw the pilot? I thought it was actually really good for a network drama. Was impressed. A very 'The Departed' kinda plot. I can't be the only one who saw this. The only thing I didn't get was Ryan, the cop, sending texts directly to the boss on his phone. That seems very sloppy for someone trying to be an undercover mole. Anyway I'm hoping it sticks around (but if the deadness of this thread is reflected in its ratings, it probably won't ).

The pilot was pretty good, the action was well shot for TV and had a real zip to it. Not surer if people will stick around long enough to see the lead characters journey take a turn in the right direction, I get the feeling his adopted brother that is supposed to be squeaky clean will turn out to be the opposite.

Sniper/Taser chick was hot!
