28 Months Later

That sounds more ******ed than what you call ******ed. And you pretty much suggested I was a moron for liking Weeks.

You are entitled to your own opinion... people with any taste in cinema... I urge you to avoid Weeks Later and any sequel to that crap like the plague. Unless these Zombie films are your cup of tea.

You know what isn't ******ed... diseases evolving. You know what isn't ******ed... that disease evolving to hide itself until a later time when it emerges again.

And what is also ******ed is how that woman actually survives that long even when the first thing her infected husband did was go straight for the eyeballs. A lame plot device to drive the plot and nothing more.

You know what isn't ******ed.... a UN force trying to setup and rebuild an entire country and having loads of problems with setting up and rebuilding a country, one of which being security and knowing who they hired.

Yeah UN forces are sent in to keep the peace and then they end up incinerating the entire city an hour later... some security... :whatever:

You know what is really ******ed... generic mad scientist #342 decides to keep an uncontrollable virus for absolutely no reason just to get to the point and make the money.

At least it would have made a little more sense than a dumbass janitor with unlimited access to every facility including infected victims and non-infected victims who were supposed to be completely shelled off from the outside.

i hate when people think a movie is crap but other people like it they say a person has no taste in cinema ...who the hell do u think u r get off the high horse ...im sure there are movies you like that other people hate...if they told you that you had no taste in cinema itd be another argument altogether. you don't like a movie fine but dont be condescneding to people who do like it...if every one was supposed to like the same film then there would only be one kind of film

Weeks was good but different... but still

I'm looking forward to Danny Boyle and Alex Garland back for this movie... well more than they were in Weeks.

If they are not back then I don't want this movie to happen.

Hey Fat... you stated your opinion, you hate 28 Weeks Later... now it's just looking for an argument when you don't even actually address any of my points and then just come up with lamer complaints about how the UN force bombs the place... really? You can't even figure that one out?

And WeaponXProject, I think I read somewhere that they would both be back to take the helm and make 28 Months Later.

The '28' franchise has been good so far. Not the second-coming, but better than many other recent films in its genre. If the third film can at least be as good as the second film, then it'll be a well rounded trilogy.

***Fox already has the URL registered: http://28monthslater.com

Naw. Unlike cash in sequels that bring back old characters... they got all new ones.

It was a breath of fresh air, to be honest.

Not that I wouldn't be against having Murphy, Harris and Burns appear in Weeks, but it was nice to see a different set of characters in the same universe, so to speak. The opening 10 minutes of Weeks is even more brutally effective than the opening of Days, I think.

And Boyle did direct some of Weeks -- he did some second-unit work and directed the opening Infected attack scene. In fact, there's some video footage of him directing the cottage scene in one of the DVD featurettes.

I'll be happy with another director or Boyle's return for a third film. Now, if they abandon Garland and use some of the writers from Weeks...

28 Months Later? Nothing is left. Come on, at the end of "Weeks", the virus was unleashed to continental Europe. In 2+ years, it would've spread across the globe.

I found Weeks to be pretty bad as well. Everything about it just felt really convienent to fit the plot. Woman lives, kids are able to roam the restricted area just long enough to find her, husband is able to get access to his wife, doesn't think twice about kissing her, is able to get out of a sealed room and where all the survivors are herded to spread the infection.

Like I said already, I liked 28 Weeks Later, that's not to say I didn't have any problems with it. I share them with many of the other posters in this thread. But everything's been said already. I hope 28 Months Later will be a success, much like the first film. I hope Danny Boyle will be more involved in the third film then he was in the sequel.

Probably why it'll end at 3. Unless they go the full post apocalyptic route for 28 Years.

Apocalypic Route with a terminator-esque future with zombies err "infected"

Danny Boyle To Direct 28 MONTHS LATER??

Merrick here...

In early October, reports from the Stiges International Film Festival said that Paul Andrew Willams (THE COTTAGE, LONDON TO BRIGHTON) would direct 28 MONTHS LATER - a second sequel to 28 DAYS LATER. This report came to us from Arrow in the Head, via JoBlo.

Turns out, this may not necessarily be the case. Danny Boyle, director of 28 DAYS LATER and producer of its first sequel, has expressed interest in directing a third installment of the plaguey franchise.

"I'd certainly like to," Boyle said in a group interview on Nov. 6 in Beverly Hills, Calif., where he was promoting his latest film, Slumdog Millionaire. "I feel the idea is quite a strong idea, and it could well involve directing it. Yeah, absolutely."

I still have to see 28 Days Later because I thought Sunshine was just ****ing great.

I havent seen sunshien yet. i just saw 28 weeks later about 2 weeks ago and loved it

hum...I don't know. I prefer zombies over fast running "mutants"

Meanwhile "28 Days Later" scribe Alex Garland tells the site that we shouldn't expect a third film to follow acclaimed Danny Boyle horror tale "28 Days Later" and its well-received sequel "28 Weeks Later".
Garland says "When we made '28 Days Later,' the rights were frozen between a group of people who are no longer talking to each other. And so, the film is never going to happen unless those people start talking to each other again. There is no script as far as I'm aware."
Garland, who wrote a screenplay draft for a "Halo" movie adaptation eight years ago, added that since it was delivered no-one from Microsoft has contacted him since then.

This was much better than 28 Days Later even though I didn't see the whole thing.

Bumping the thread since another one was started

A new teaser image has appeared on the 28 Days Later Facebook page. The image, which has already sparked hundreds of speculative comments from fans, states 'Your Days Are Numbered' against the series' red and black logo.
The last 28 Days film, 28 Weeks Later, was released in 2007. Whether this is a teaser for a '28 Months Later' remains to be seen.

Interesting. Either the producers have kissed and made up, or this is something else entirely. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another comic-book/graphic novel tie-in.
