That looks potentially injurious, so I don't think I'll do that.

What the hell is with all these links....

too many links, and there are a bunch of threads about this for fracks sake!

Dude... In the first three links and the last one, those are all normal lifts. Any gym teacher can show these to you.

As for the ACTUAL 300 workout movie, those workouts are pretty interesting. I'd like to try that.

Squats made my ass huge too .

One word: OVERTRAINING!

That is all.

LOL, I want someone to start this.
please, someone start this and then I hope to god your local hospital has wireless connection.

The 300 routine isn't all that bad. Of course, I couldn't do some of it as well as they could right off the bat, but I'm sure I could get there.

Any workout has its potential injuries- this routine is just the same.

This movie is a phenomenon. I've never seen geeks so motivated to train like this at any single moment. :o

Most of them will drop it once they discover how brutal that workout program is or get injured trying to do it. The guys that trained like that for the movie were ALREADY in great shape to begin with. That program is designed to take already fit people to the next level in terms of a specific physical appearance for a movie role and it isn't sustainable over the long term for the vast majority of people. Most of the actors, Butler included, damn near collapsed from the overtraining once filming was complete. The other thing that's not touched on nearly enough from everything I've read about the 300 workout is the diet. You can work out all you want but if your diet is in the crapper, so will your results.

Neither... you may call me something new when you see the graphic I just finished for your match against Lee...

You'll always be BRUTHOLE to me.

I already look like that, so I'm good..........

LOL!
I wish I had all that equipment.
Anyone know where to get a tire like that?

The tire store?
They're probably really expensive.
It wasn't really a question for anyone to answer.
It was a sarcastic comment.
I can probably go to the dump and fine. I don't have the space to do that stuff though.

Totally. That Gerard Butler collasped from overtraining on set from what I understand. It really is only a short term solution. Consider it shock therapy. Good for people who are already in decent shape looking to get "camera ready", bad for people with any long term goals in mind.

but i want THAT! as a long term goal :D
Again, as both me and apparent jag (who basically said the exact same thing), it's overtraining. Unless your in shape to begin with, and good shape at that, all your going to do is tax your body beyond the point of recovery. For an actor, who already trains for movies and roles and a regular or semi-regular basis, dropping a whole lot of water weight and bodyfat (along with some muscle) is not a bad thing. For a person who doesn't touch weights regularly all your going to do is make yourself scrawny and potentially put yourself in traction.

Also I wouldn't be surprised, and have heard much to this effect, that some hollywood actors are using certain supplements...like growth hormones...to enhance their bodies.

In the video diary note how most of the guys honestly aren't that big...and those that are big most likely were big before. I see a lot of training, but little transformers. The trainer himself says he is making them "hard" and "vien popping", not necessarily strong, massive or well formed.

I think the 300 Workout is an awesome tool of natural selection and I am encouraging fanboys to try it.

For that to work, they would have to remove the package of mallomars from under their chins. :o
