But by your logic you can say "a hour." It is apparently being debated. Or is it just in conjunction with the word "Xbox."
Listen, you might want to stop now. You are really in the wrong on this.
Oi vey! First up, I realize we are talking about grammar, but c'mon guys GRAMMAR IS COOL!
DACMAN my mate, I agree with you. You are correct. I repeat correct.
I myself would refer to the Xbox 360 as
an Xbox 360. I would. And I agree.
My point is, there is controversy whether words that begin with the letter "X" start with a vowel sound or not. Is saying the letter "X" out loud composed of solely the letter, or it a sound that consists of a vowel. "X" in the english language is quite a weird case. The debate solely revolves around the letter "X". I apologize for not having made this clear in my previous post. The vowel/vowel sound argument I was referring to applies only to the letter "X" as far as I know. The debate does not involve words like "xylophone" where the "X" is not pronounced. Only words like "X-Ray", "Xbox", "X-Men" where the actual letter "X" is pronounced at the beginning. Again, my apologies for failing to make that clear.
That's all man. If you think that's wrong that is fine. I guess I'll leave that argument alone. But if I may,
DACMAN's response to DeGenerate's apparently poor grammar:
I was gonna say someone trying to be clever and using poor grammer at the same time. It would be an Xbox fanboy.
It's gramm
ar. GRAMM
AR. It seems you too are susceptible to failing.
Poetic justice is a ***** isn't she?
And I don't mean to put myself above anyone else. I am by no means smarter than any of you. I just tried to show a different viewpoint on the letter "X".
It's amazing how when I try to put together a decent argument in a civilized manner, I am labelled and mocked as trying to be an intellectual and an egomaniac. I did not label you or mock you, I simply tried to show a different perspective. Yet, you seem to have taken great exception to that. Why do you get so offended and find yourself in the right to make judgements about myself when I did nothing to offend you? Puzzling really.
I don't try to be an intellectual. I am one. But intellectuals love videogames too.

And I do make mistakes.
