I love my ps3 and the pad is fine for most games...but since getting the xbox 360 pad for windows i kinda like the xbox pad too..
i know theres one or two xbox style clones for ps3..but does anyone own one or can recommend a decent one as the reviews ive seen for most are very mixed..
cheers

does the wireless one from my pc work with this too??

i do think that for the next console sony need a change..its been the same design since psone.

ive read about this one..the reviews say its feel good and all but the deadzone on it is terrible and that the wireless didstance is bad too..keeps cutting out.
appartantly, this is just reviews..ive not got one.
i'd like to get this one too but the bad press puts me off..if you get one could you let me know if its any good...if it is ill get one myself!

I will for sure let you know. The one that is getting the bad reviews though, is the HF-1 and the one that is coming out right now is the HF-2.

ahhhh.
so it is, thanks for pointing that outlets hope that hf-2 is awesome..io loves me ps3..but i do like the 360 pad...i cant do fps games on a ps pad i think the pads too small i just envelope it in my hands and gives my cramp after a bit...
you seen any previews of HF-2?

No, but when the reviews start to come in, I'll make a point to post them here for you.

Here's an adapter I have. It works two ways-- you can hook it up to a PS3 and use an Xbox 360 controller, or you can connect it to a PS2 controller and use it on either the Xbox 360 or PS3. When you connect it to an Xbox 360, you have to have both a PS2 controller and an Xbox 360 controller connected to it. It costs less than 9 bucks and it works fine. Don't blow your money on a stupid $80 adapter.

The thing I like most about the adapter I posted is the fact that if a game has no button configuration (which some PS3 games don't) you can change it freely with that adapter

X-Box360 style? As in it has squint analogs?

If I ever come into posession of an Xbox 360, the first thing I would do is swap out the concave thumb sticks with convex ones. I never liked the 360's joysticks, because my thumbs aren't long enough to stay in dead-center of the sticks. PS3's just feel more natural to me (even if the controller's shape is a different story).

Thats really odd. The convex shaped joy sticks of the Dualshock is one of the biggest complaints towards it. You must have baby carrots for fingers if you claim ur thumbs arent long enough to stay in the center of the sticks.

I'd like to think my fingers aren't so small as to be considered "baby carrots"as you put it, but my hands are definitely on the smaller end of the spectrum for a Caucasian male of my height. The 360's sticks just plain feel unnatural to me, and I don't like having to reach that far.

2 things I hate about the 360 controller is the d-pad and the shoulder buttons. I know the newly redesigned controller altered the d-pad but they only fixxed part of the problem. The other part is its placement and its too close to the face buttons to feel comfortable. And Ive always hated the LB and RB button on the thing

Be careful with using an adapter that lets one used a 360 controller on the PS3 bc the 360 controller does not have SIXAXIS capabilities and some games do use this feature, although developers have downplayed it in recent years. The bst for anyone thats wants an alternate is an actual PS3 controller thats shaped like a 360

so did anyone get the Gioteck PS3 HF-2 Bluetooth Wireless Controller i am thinking about getting it but i read a few reviews saying that when playing multiplayer it has some issues with the sensitivity

Iv got that Pro Elite PS3 pad and love it so far. Haven't come across any issues. I started out just using it for Killzone 3 but have now switched to it permanently.

i was thinkin about getting that one but saw the reviews and then decided not to

Have you played Uncharted with the Pro Elite Pat? Does it work well?
