Yeah, Affleck and Cavill getting "Worst Actor" noms is a load of garbage. It honestly speaks a lot to everything that is wrong with fanboy criticism these days. The movie was bad, true, but the leads gave performances that don't deserve to get hated by association.

Cavill 100% deserves the nomination. I know the guy can act, but not under Snyder's direction apparently.

Jesse Eisenberg will for sure win worst supporting actor.

idk man, Leto was a special kind of awful, Eisenberg was at least hilariously bad.

We literally go from an Academy Award winning Joker to a potential Razzie Award winning Joker. You can't make this stuff up.

After watching Gods of Egypt, I can confirm that the Razzies are even more full of ********.

Still not as funny as Bullock winning the Razzie the night before winning the Oscar.
Bullock was pure class in showing up in person to accept both awards.

The thing with Cavill is, you have to stop and think "Am I hating the performance because its bad or am I hating it because its out of character?" Cavill was playing an awful misinterpretation of Superman, but if you scratched the "S" off his chest and called him someone else, would it have really been a "bad performance"?

Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck don't deserve to be on this list. ****ing amatuers can't distinguish between writing and acting. Eisenberg YMMV. Leto... does an extended cameo count? But fair enough.

I hated because it was bad. Even if he was playing an original character the performance would have been terrible.

Listen... I'm hesitant to defend BVS in any way, because (1) the film was a goddamn mess and (2) the rabid defense of that film, Snyder and the cast is off-putting. But if you really believe Cavill gave the worst/one of the worst acting performances of the last year.... come off it.

Bland, rather dull... sure. But truly bad acting? I don't agree with that. He was executing the dark, broody Superman that thrives in Snyder's imagination alone. The execution worked, as far as I'm concerned. It's Snyder's end of things that is the problem for me.

And then there's the whole over-arching truth that these nominations only happened because the film was the most popular poorly received film, not necessarily the worst.

I'd say wooden is the best word to describe it. Just like January Jones in X-Men First Class. He's not the worst performance I've seen last year but it's definitely forgettable which is the last thing you should think when thinking of Superman.

In the space of 8 years Batman has gone from within a few votes of clinching a Best Picture nomination to this. The mighty have fallen.

Yes it would. Wooden acting is still wooden acting no matter what the character is called.

No Ghostbusters? As usual, there were worst movies out there, but they're "nominating" the movies that are popular to hate on.

Ben Affleck doesn't deserve to get "nominated".

BvS was a victim of it's hype when it turned out it wasn't great. Ghostbusters was average in the end, and on the receiving end of way more hate than it deserved.

Not really. Cavil was lifeless in BvS. His grave giving off strange energy at the end got more of a reaction out of me than anything he did as the character while alive.

The dirt rising off of supe's grave is going to sweep every acting catergory at the oscars this year.

i disagree. I think the jar of piss was absolutely oscar worthy.

I stand corrected. The jar of piss is life. In fact, I feel that all too often, piss is the unsung hero of so many films, from BvS to R. Kelly's home movies to Putin's Donald Trump videos. It's past time urine got some love from major award shows.

I will not rest until I see Luthor's Jar of Piss on a "For Your Consideration" poster.
