"On the run, Picard & Titan's skeleton crew must break into Starfleet's secret facility to expose a plot that could destroy the Federation. Picard must turn to the only soul in the galaxy who can help: an old friend."

(side note, too many good promo images for this week for me to only choose 4. And it was still tough to stick to 4)

was that a version of the Genesis torpedo in one of the vaults?

ok loved seeing the ships in the museum and I liked that they played bits of score from what they came from (DS9 theme for defiant, voyager theme for voyager etc).

That must've been a fun day in the writers' room:

1. Thalaron generator.

2. Genesis II device.

3. Happy birthday, Bill!

4. ??? (looks like a miniature Tholian ship)

5. Facehugger tribble. (Bet the Klingons did that to make tribbles a worthy enemy.)

Hearing Jack say he inherited his wisdom from Picard made me laugh. That is not how wisdom works. You have to earn it through experience. These offspring in this series are really annoying in this show. Hearing Geordi say "geek out" is another thing that pulls me out of the world. So now we are supposed to just follow along with the hand waving and now Data is back. Whatever, this episode just throws so much at you that they hope you don't notice. Ok, so they just throw in that Kirk is in the institute.

If you want us to forget Picard is a robot, stop telling us and showing us that he is a robot. Everyone brings it up and now we get his real body in this episode.

So this probably leads back to the borg. The borg have indeed learned to assimilate changelings. So the changelings are answering to the borg. At least that is what I am gathering from it now.

It was kind of a weird birthday present for Shatner, but I think it at least makes sense in-universe. Anyone who spent time in the Nexus is probably of interest to Section 31.

It's the show's glorification of human frailties that bothers me. Characters seem to accept death as inevitable (and even noble) far too soon. Pike's speech about how "right up until the very end, life is to be worn gloriously", by contrast, is good advice.

That was a fun little episode of memberberries.

Not surprising that Daystrom Station was full of easter eggs. And got a fun browse of the starships. I loved it when Seven brought up Voyager. I kinda wished we saw them steal the cloaking device. If just to get some more screentime with Mica Burton's Alandra, as it looked like it would have been fun with JLJR and Sydney. Which, by the way, I continue to love Sydney LaForge.

The whole plot to kidnap JLJR is starting to make some sense to me. As I suspect they need some living genetic material, not just the dead body, to do a full on swap. So, in some ways, Nemesis done right.

I remain open, if somewhat skeptical of what they are doing with the Spiner gestalt. I wish it was all Lore, as we were kind of lead on to believe in the trailers. But, it looks like we will get a greatest hits of Spiner. I wonder if it has anything to do with them thinking of future plans, as clearly, not going to be as rough on Spiner in the make up department. Still, having Lore around will be fun.

Just a wild theory with no real basis, so take it with a grain of salt.

We didn't see the borg come across the changelings during the dominion war. So maybe these fanatics actually met up with some borg. Then the borg either teamed up or are bossing them around. Sort of like they will destroy the solids for them if the changelings get them what they need, which is in the Picards. The only reason I could think that anyone wants Picard or his son would be something to do with the borg. Maybe Picard has the only traces or remnants of particular nanites they need.

Today’s episode was an Easter Egg Heaven for me!!!

The biggest shock of the episode (which saying a lot as there a lot in this episode) is Picard’s original body being taken from Daystrom Institute and Jack having Irumodic Syndrome I’m thinking it can’t be just that but what if they both linked? (Don’t think glowing red eyes and fighting like John Wick is a side effect of the Syndrome)
What if Jack is actually Picard’s original body with Changeling upgrades?! If it is true then was there an original Jack? What happened to that Jack? How does Beverly factor into all this?

Great seeing everyone back together even if by end of episode Riker and Troi been kidnapped by Vadic.

Daystrom Institute aka Section 31’s Man Cave is full of Easter Eggs:

*Genesis Device, with the original one being destroyed the one in Daystrom looks like Section 31 tried to make a new one…

*James T Kirk’s body: I thought it’s a little grim having a dead body around, but it should of been foreshadowing of what was to come with Picard’s body reveal at the end. This brings up a new question, are all high ranking people’s bodies housed there?

*Professor Moriarty: Wasn’t the AI after all but the Data/Lore/B4 and Co Hybrid was, and Moriarty was just them glitching and remembering and what a memory: Riker’s and Data first meeting!!!

Geordi might be moody but like Shaw he has his reasons, I like this new version of Geordi, the seasoned vet and Father.

The Fleet Museum moment with Jack and Seven was great, seeing all the old ships (seeing the Defiant again got me in the feels) Jack got taste and a great eye, he a Ship Porn fanboy like the rest of us. Seven talking about Voyager was heartwarming yet bittersweet knowing now she’s trying to find a new family. Also nice to see a TOS era Constitution-class without the DISCO makeover.

Shaw was on point as always today, he a big nerd like the rest of us when he meets his Hero!!!

Jack Crusher and Sidney La Forge make a great team, love the way Geordi is the protective Father, gives me Roger Murtaugh vibes.

So we all should have seen it by Today’s title being called “The Bounty.” The cloaking device from the end credits was going to come into play at this point, the moment the HMS Bounty Bird of Prey popped up on screen it all click just like it did with Jack. Love the way people in Universe call it “the whole whales thing” like we all do when discussing The Voyage Home.

What’s in Hangar Bay 12? Was it the HMS Bounty? Or is there another Ship Alandra was on about?! With the new Ships having that tied network between them makes me think they be picking up an “old school” Ship for the final Episode!!! USS Enterprise D? USS Enterprise E??

With the Data Hybrid on board, when is Lore gonna come out to play and cause grief?!

Based on the promo for next week's episode, Vadic's boss is definitely not the Borg.

that whole scene was probably my fave part of the episode I LOVE Jeri in this show and hope to see more of her in any future Trek show appearance in the future.
