It's a manip of a pic from SM2.

Really? I didn't know. But Spidey really is wearing the black suit for Spider-man 3. And that's NOT a spoiler, since he's wearing the black suit on the freakin' POSTER.

Yes, that's true, but this particular pic is a manip.

But evil Spidey needs a beard.

If there's something that old Star Trek episodes have taught me, it's that evil people always have a beard.

I've stayed out of the SM2 forums for that same reason, myself, All-Star.

One of the best titles for a thread in some time

She needed a job where she could actually support herself, rather than cleaning toilets or making french fries and frosties? When you're very concerned about how you'll support yourself/pay your bills, it becomes much harder to walk away and easier to put up with things you shouldn't have to.

Sounds like she got the job out of college (she's 28 and been there for 6 years) so it would appear it's the only 'real' job she had. She may have been concerned that she wouldn't be able to get a new job if they fired her because they could also give her a bad recommendation and she really didn't have another place to get one.

i'm not trying to argue with you, but don't you think it's foolish of her (if what you're saying is true) to stay at that abusive job for 6 years for fear of not finding another one, instead of spending six years at that abusive job looking for another one?

you know what i mean?

she must not have wanted to leave that badly.

Hell thats the main reason why I stay out of the Superman forums as well now because I dont want to be spoiled the only time I check in is if there is a new item I might have to buy.

Well, when I worked at Burger King, I was molested by the boss practically every day, he even wanked off in front of me once, but I didn't quit and I never even took a day off, because I'm a man, dammit.

Actually, you are... or at least debate with me, but that's okay. It's part of what the Hype is here for.

First, we don't know that she wasn't looking for another job during that time. Second, again this being her first job, she might have been concerned that she wouldn't be able to get another one without good recommendations from Maury & Co. And considering that it's Maury Povitch, she also may have been scared she'd be pretty much black-balled from the talk-show/'news' industry.

I just don't think you can say how much she wanted to leave or not (that's assuming any of this is true in the first place).

Fear is a strong motivator, but it doesn't always motivate action. People always talk about the 'fight or flight' response to fear, but there is another response that doesn't get mentioned - that of paralysis. You even see it in nature (granted those that freeze are frequently the ones that get eaten  but not always ). In humans it makes them hold onto what little they have (even if it seems horrible to someone on the outside looking in) for fear they'll be worse off if they make a change (whether it be to fight or fly).

Haven't you ever had trouble with indecision when faced with a large life-changing decision? Sometimes things can just get so overwhelming that you just maintain the status quo because it's familar, even if it isn't pleasant.

His new suit is made of plastic. :o

Poor ...gal. Well, I dunno. She needed to take more responsibility from the getgo, instead of stewing in this circus of a career.
I kinda hope she ends up owning them.

Isn't it interesting how money makes everything better... people are such ****es.
