50 States Initiative: Who's Guarding Your State?

I don't know. They were probably the first heroes to register. And I'm sure they can get some leeway with Squirrel Girl on the team.

I don't think the Loners are even active super heroes so they can't really be classified as being part of the Initiative program in California.

Can someone tell me if Avengers: Initiative is a mini or ongoing series?

I doubt the Great Lakes Champions will be getting Wisconson, that's just not their luck. I'm foreseeing them getting pre-empted by a bunch of hereos brought in from out of state, and for publicity, their status as "registered" is denied and they are hunted.

The Great Lakes Champions were one of the first heroes to register and they were accepted.

Deadpool tried to go after them, trying to hunt heroes who didn't register, and got his ass kicked by Squirrel Girl. He then found out that they registered.

Not only that, their headquarters is in Wisconsin, they support the registration act, they're probally assigned Wisconsin.

^^^^They have a story coming out too. I think thats what Joe Q said at the end of Civil War 7, so you know they'll be around.

I'm not disputing, nor was I unaware of any of those facts Hippy... I just think that fate would mess with them again. they saved the world and the next day they were forced to change their name. they got new costumes, but had to ditch them when they turned out to be made by Leather Boy.They lost two names in side of three minutes. It just seems more in character for the team to get one upped by people who haven't been through half of what they have.

I think the government will force them to get another name.

Also since Dan Slott is writing The Initiative, I would bet it's safe to say the GLC will get something.

I was thinking (since I live in MA) how about "The Minute-men" for the name of the team? Guys got any ideas?

Spirit of '76 could get revamped, as well as Ms. America

I wonder who has Iowa.
In CW #6 it said they were sticking the old Force Works in Iowa. Which is cool because now our state has a team! Which is lame because it's Force Works. Who is left from them anyway? US Agent is with OF, Scarlett Witch is out, umm...the other Spider-Woman? :csad:

After seeing the Texas team with their stereotype costumes, cross your fingers for Corn Man and the Cow Fookers. I don't know how they're going to turn monotonous flat highway driving into a superhero costume.

I guess if it's flat and monotonous they could just some plain spandex on Mistress Gluon.

I used to have all the heroes protecting me, but now, because of stupid Iron Man, they're pulling so many out of New York. :(

Yo, The Cajun: It's a 6 issue mini. Plus, I just put the Loners on there because I had no clue whether or not they'd register... They're quasi-active in the superheroing community. Plus, Rick Jones is their sponsor, so with his connections, I'd assume they'd register. From the sounds of the series, they're about to get more active, too.

Hell Yeah @ Texas!!!! Why does NYC get 3 teams. Unfair if you as me!

Yeah, because Texas is overrun with supervillains. :whatever:

Actually, I'll give you Texas, 'cause it's big enough and there're a few major cities there, but seriously, who's going to attack Iowa?

Not yet. A lot of this won't be handled for a few months, but I suspect them to "name-drop" who's with what state along the course of the next few comics dealing with CW fallout. When The Initiative hits stands, I'm pretty confident that we'll have a complete list. My friend keeps asking me about who's gonna protect Ohio, and I'm excited to find out myself. It's a cool fanboy moment, you know? Like all the fanboys in one state have a team representing them. If Marvel plays their cards right, this initiative could be a blast at conventions.
